At 20 years old, Francine Diaz has bid adieu to her teenage years.

In the few days leading up to her birthday, Francine posted a series of monochrome photos showing her more sophisticated side.

On her birthday, she posted similar photos, this time showing the quirky and fun woman that everyone has come to love.

While she is ready to step into adulthood, Francine isn’t planning to do any drastic changes.

“Siyempre nasanay na ‘yung lahat with my image that’s very ‘good girl’,” said Francine, acknowledging the persona that many have come to expect from her.

Now that she has left her teenage years behind, Francine feels ready to expand her career further.

“I want to explore my craft,” she said.

She clarified that this didn’t mean that she is going to go sexy or go daring all of a sudden.

“It doesn’t mean that I’m going to do scenes that would be, alam niyo na, tagged SPG (strictly parental guidance),” she explained. “I am reinventing myself in that I am fearless and ready for anything.”

On her actual birthday, Francine was busy attending the exclusive press conference and listening party of “My Love”, her first ever song with Korean superstar Seo In-Guk.

“Ito po talaga ‘yung gift ko sa sarili ko ngayong birthday ko,” said Francine.

Seo In-Guk, who was one of the composers of the song and originally released it in 2022 with the Korean rapper RAVI, deliberately tweaked his “My Love” to be a better fit for his duet with Francine.

The Kapamilya actress flew to South Korea to do the recording, and has already begun shooting for its music video.

She admitted that it was challenging for her because she felt intimidated by the idea of singing with the Korean idol. Nevertheless, she chose to use that fear as a motivation for her to do better.

“My Love” will be launched on Spotify this February, and will also be made available on all major online platforms. There are also arrangements for the song to have a tie up with a Filipino record label.
