<p>Maiqui Pineda immediately came to the defense of her husband, Robi Domingo, who drew flak from netizens for his birthday post last month. Maiqui is currently undergoing treatment for her autoimmune disease.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/9/29/robi-domingo-shares-birthday-wish-for-35th-birthday-1547"><strong>READ: Robi Domingo shares birthday wish for 35th birthday<br/></strong></a></div><p>“By this year, actually by this month, sana meron na akong anak but then it happened… it’s hard, maybe it’s not time yet,” Robi shared in the video.</p><p>Some netizens expressed how it left a bad taste in their mouth as Robi seemed insensitive to his wife’s condition.</p><p>“Got across Robi Domingo teary eyed wishing for a baby, they’re waiting for a clearance from doctor for his wife to get pregnant. He’s so RED FLAG. His wife just recovered from an autoimmune crisis then announced on public media his wish for a baby. How insensitive to his wife’s feelings,” a netizen voiced out.</p><p>“Robi, aware ka naman sa condition ng asawa mo before pa kayo ikasal. AWARE KA DUN BEH! Ang off lang na ini-air mo ‘to sa public. [I don’t know] if nag iisip ka ba o ano nung ginagwa mo ‘to kasi nakaka dagdag ‘to sa pressure sa misis mo,” another netizen added.</p><p>Meanwhile, Maiqui couldn’t help but defend Robi as the comments of the netizens have been concerning her already. I’ve openly mentioned it here before but he has a bigger reach hehe. It’s both our goals, our plans and our wishes but we acknowledge the reality of things and have chosen to trust in God’s plans and timings instead. But we are hopeful! Just have to wait a bit and do some work for now. But the prayers and support means a lot,” she wrote.</p><p>“There’s really no pressure at all. No one has made me feel that way. But I know it’s what I want so I’m just doing what I can to hopefully make that happen one day,” she added.</p><p>Robi and Maiqui tied the knot in 2023 through a private church ceremony with only friends and family in attendance.</p>
