Netflix releases ‘You’re Invited’ teaser for ‘Squid Game 2’ featuring Gong Yoo

Netflix released a new teaser for the upcoming second season of Squid Game dubbed as the "You're Invited" teaser. 

The new teaser features Korean actor Gong Yoo who plays the role of the salesman who recruits participants for the game.

In the teaser, Yoo can be seen gearing up for the day and arriving at the subway as he searches for new players to join the Squid Game.

"Sir, would you like to play a game with me?" Yoo said in the conclusion of the video.

Fans online were quick to react to the teaser.

"One of my favorite series of all time. Let's go!" one fan commented.

"Christmas is more fun this time around!!! So excited!" another fan said.

"Can't wait to see what's next!" another fan posted.

The second season of Squid Game is set to be released on Netflix on December 26.

Lee Jung-jae is set to return as the main lead of the series as Gi-hun or Player 456.

"Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind," read the official synopsis of the series as reported by Netflix Tudum.

The synopsis added: "Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won."


Other cast members of the new season include Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.

Back on August 1, series director Hwang Dong-hyuk posted a letter for the fans as he announced the second season of the show.

"It’s been almost three years since Season 1 was met with incredible response around the world and many unimaginable events took place," he wrote. "On the first day we began shooting Season 2, I remember thinking, 'Wow, I can’t believe I’m back in the world of Squid Game.' It almost felt surreal. I wonder how it will feel for you to be back in Squid Game after three years as well."
