Neri Miranda reveals why she loves planting vegetables

<p>After launching her book  “Wais na Misis: The Wise Homemaker” last year, Neri Miranda continues to dish out advice to women, especially her fellow housewives on a wide array of topics that also relate to her own life. Earlier this month, she gave her followers some insight on why she loves gardening so much in their home in Tagaytay City, where she and her family are based. </p><p>In her Instagram post last October 17, Neri shared a video clip of her planting some vegetables in her garden and wrote about her husband Chito Miranda’s attempt to bring her out on a date. </p><p>“Tara, magtanim ulit tayo nang marelax relax tayo,” she invited her followers. “Sa garden kase sobrang tahimik, puro huni ng ibon lang maririnig mo, minsan kahol ng mga aso. Kahit naka pajama ka lang, oks lang, walang magja-judge sayong mga halaman o insekto 😅”</p><p>She admitted that she personally preferred to stay in her home garden than go out. </p><p>“Madalas nga mas gusto ko nasa garden lang at nagtatanim kaysa lumabas. ‘Yung asawa ko lang talaga ang nagpu-push na lumabas naman ako paminsan minsan,” she said. “Sabi ko, nasa labas naman ako ah, nasa garden palagi o sa laundry area kapag naglalaba. Sabi nya, ‘yung labas na gala naman para maiba yung makita ko.”</p><p>Neri went on to share a funny anecdote about going out with her husband. </p><p>“Sabi ko sige, pag-drive nya ako. Nagbihis ako, tuwa naman naman sya tapos tinanong nya kung saan kami pupunta. Sabi ko sa grocery 😅 nyeek daw. Hahaha,” she recalled. “Lumabas naman ako at nagpostura. Para sa akin, isang malaking park ang grocery stores at palengke, happy ako dun! The 41-year-old celebrity entrepreneur also revealed which two vegetables she was happy to plant that day. </p><p>“So ayan ang buhay buhay ko ngayon.. feeling farmer at nagpapaka best mom at wife sa bahay na akala mo may medalyang makukuha 😁 pero dito ako masaya. Walang ingay (except kapag magkakasama na ang mga anak namin at nagtatakbuhan tapos samahan pa ng tatay na mas maingay 😅)</p><p>Ang dami ko nang sinabi, nagtanim lang naman ako ng kangkong at pechay 🤣</p><p>Si Neri, madaldal. Bow.</p><p>Ay wait! Yung niluluto ko palang sinigang, need ko nang patayin ang kalan!”</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/7/5/neri-miranda-fangirls-over-business-partner-vice-ganda-1338"><strong>READ: Neri Miranda fangirls over business partner Vice Ganda: ‘Halatang halata yung pagka-fan ko sa ngiti ko’</strong></a></div><p>Known for frequently sharing her thoughts on various topics on social media, Neri also enjoys looking back on her childhood days growing up in Olongapo City. </p><p>In a previous post, she also shared her days of gathering food from their neighbors in Subic to use as feed for their pigs. “Yung literal na pinagsama-samang pagkain na punong tubig at sabaw, babad na tinapay, kanin, tinapong pagkain na nakalagay sa timba sa labas ng kusina. Ayun ang kinukuha ko sa kanila. I was 10 years old. After school, ‘yun ang ginagawa ko, nangongolekta ng kaning baboy para pangkain sa mga alaga naming baboy ng nanay ko. Wala pa kaming pambili ng darak sa tindahan that time,” she reminisced. </p><p>Looking back on her humble beginnings is a source of pride for Neri, even considering it as her preparation for life as a businesswoman. “Never ko kinahiya ‘yun. Proud ako na nagawa ko ‘yun. Dun pala magsisimula ang pagiging entrepreneur ko. Hindi ko pa man alam that time, I was 10, pero isa ‘yung experience na ‘yun na masasabi kong one of the best memories nung childhood ko. Aba, ilang kabataan ang makakasabi na nangongolekta sila ng kaning baboy?”</p>
