It’s Showtime host and actress Kim Chiu showed off death-defying stunts for her Magpasikat 2024 performance with teammates Ogie Alasid and comedians MC and Lassy.

On Tuesday October 22, Kim impressed the viewers and judges as she performed aerial stunts.

Alongside with the act, their guest, singer Morissette Amon, performed Sarah Geronimo’s “Isa Pang Araw”.

Kim also revealed that she was previously rushed to the hospital after an accident occurred during her practice and she needed to undergo a CT scan.

Besides Kim, singer and songwriter Ogie Alcasid also had a special moment of conquering his fear of heights.

During his solo act, Ogie was seen playing a piano as he sang an original song while standing on a tilted, rotating platform.

“Hindi ba malululain ako? Sukdulan iyon,” Ogie stated.

MC and Lassy also proved how, despite their age, they can still do stunts with an aerial cube act for their number.

The concept of their performance highlighted the theme of  “taking a break”. They also shared the tagline of their concept: “Kapag pagod ka na, tigil, hinga, kalma.”

He also shared a bible verse Psalm 46:10, which was where they got the inspiration for their concept.

“Sabi, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’

Meanwhile, the team also shared personal stories and thoughts on how they view their respective careers, which was also part of their performance.

Their co-hosts Vice Ganda then expressed how the actress has proven herself and doesn’t need to listen to those who wish her downfall.

“Just so you know, you have been doing so much. You have been working very hard. Alam mo, never risk your life, your happiness, your existence to all those entitled audiences who don’t deserve you.

“Give your efforts to those who believe in you, who love you…

“Today, I feel that the show is really show business. Ogie showed the insecurities of getting old and not being relevant anymore in the music industry. You talked about the comedians that we had na walang tigil ang show business maski namatayan. To Kim Chiu, realizing that giving yourself is not always enough,” ABS-CBN Board member and one of this year’s judges Freddie M Garcia said.

“The total show was beautiful. I was totally entertained and very happy about the performance," he added.

Kim previously won the title for Magpasikat 2023 with previous teammates Jhong Hilario and Ion Perez.
