It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis shared how the first episode of the Kapamilya noontime show is a very special core memory for her.

After their Magpasikat performance, Anne was asked what memory stuck to her being one of the pioneer hosts of the show.

“Sa 15 years. There’s so much. I grew up on the show, alongside my Showtime family. From being a single, to getting a boyfriend, to getting married, having a child, performing Magpasikat na buntis na hindi alam ng Showtime family. There are so many core memories,” Anne recalled, sharing her milestone in life.

She went on: “But I think the one that always sticks the most is syempre the very first episode of Showtime. We came up here on stage na ang dami nating doubits. Magtatagal ba tayo? Gaano katagal? 7 years? 4 years? 3 years?”

Anne expressed how their doubts eventually faded away as the show lasted more than a decade of entertaining their viewers.

“Who would have thought that from a simple pre-noontime show, we would be here on stage and performing for the Madlang People, changing people’s lives, with the help of ABS-CBN, for 15 years, and that for me is a solid core memory that continues to create core memories,” she said.

The Kapamilya star then expressed gratitude to the people behind the success of It’s Showtime.

“Thank you Showtime family, from the hosts, and most importantly the people behind who keep on working hard, day in, day out, walang tulog ang mga iyan but they continue to inspire each and every one of us to spread love and happiness to the Madlang People,” she said.

Fellow co-host Jhong Hilario remarked, “Kami, Anne, nagpapasalmat din kami sa iyo, ang buong Showtime family, ang Madlang People, for being you. Ipinapakita mo talaga kung sino ka kaya minahal ka ng Madlang People.

Meanwhile, Rocksteddy frontman, Teddy Corpuz had a funny recollection of his and Vice Ganda’s first encounter.

“Ako po iyong unang unang crush ni Vice Ganda,” he said bringing laughter to the hosts.

He then shared that he celebrated their anniversary by bringing the first gifts that Vice and Anne gave to him 15 years ago.

“Isinama ko sa core memories ko, dala-dala ko pa yung ibinigay sa akin ni Vice Ganda na t-shirt 15 years ago, Dala-dala ko rin yung pick ng guitar ko na unang-unang binigay sa akin ni Anne Curtis,” he said.

He also shared how an old misunderstanding between him and Jugs Jugueta of Itchyworms is something he really cherished.

“Pinaka-core memories ko ay yung nag-away kami ni Jugs. Nag-away kami pero after noon, we became deep friends na talaga. Feeling ko, kailangan talaga iyon. Parang season 1 iyon. After noon, wala na, kumbaga all out na kami with each other.”

Meanwhile for Jugs, it was the show’s first out of the country trip that became a special moment for him.

“Ang pinakamatinding core memories ko ay yung out of the country natin noong unang-una sa Great America tapos nag-Dubai tayo, tapos sa Canada.. Nakakaaliw kasi nakakapagbonding tayo together. Aside from pagpukpok sa akin ni Ryan sa ulo,” he stated.

Anne, together with her fellow original It’s Showtime hosts Jugs and Teddy, showed an Inside Out-inspired production for this year’s Magpasikat competition.

The trio highlighted how the show created a lot of memories for the past years and shined to what it is known for today on their crystal anniversary.

“We are so grateful that we continue to create core memories as a Showtime family. Kanina nga sabi namin kanina noong nagpray tayo, this is dedicated, not only to the Madlang People but also to the whole Showtime family. Let’s continue to create beautiful core memories together. Maraming maraming salamat,” Anne stated.
