Kapamilya actress Agot Isidro expressed how fatigue got the best of her during the last run of the play Dagitab earlier this week. In her Instagram post, she was apologetic to the fans who were unable to watch the whole play after being cut midway.

Agot plays the role of Issey who is married to Jimmy (portrayed by Jojit Lorenzo) in this theater play.

“Actors are human beings. And like all humans, may hangganan ang kaya ng katawan. Last night, at our last run, I stopped midway through a line. My brain shut down. I couldn’t remember a word. Not a word,” she admitted.

The Can’t Buy Me Love actress recalled how she walked out of the stage and hugged Jojit who was waiting for his cue backstage. She couldn’t pinpoint what happened that led to her suddenly forgetting her lines.

“The previous run wasn’t all good too. I struggled through the last scenes. The very thing that every actor dreaded was happening to me,” she added.

Agot then shared how she’s been working “nonstop” the past months but maintained this wasn’t an excuse for what happened.

“I just overestimated my capacity as a workaholic, as nearing senior citizen, and as someone who takes the job too seriously. Nilalaban ng katawan ko, pero nag-decide na ‘yung utak ko na tigil na,” she expressed.

Despite this, the Kapamilya actress expressed her gratitude towards the whole cast and crew of Dagitab who became the “best support system any artist could ask for.” She credited the producers of the play for being understanding as well–– something she wishes for all actors to experience.

“I’m sure it wasn’t easy for you to see this crumbling ashen ruined thing right before your eyes. I love you for looking out for me,” she said.

“The quality of work that you do is something to be proud of. But more than that, your humanity, compassion and ethics as producers. You only had my well-being in mind. I love you all and my deepest gratitude for being so gracious and considerate,” she continued.

Agot then stated that despite what happened, she assured the fans and audience who anticipated to watch the play that they will be back.

“Para sa audience, I apologize. I apologize for leaving you hanging. I apologize that you didn’t get to see our work. Work that we are utterly proud of, work we enjoy doing, work that we are in love with. But… chill lang. Babalik kami,” she ended.

Friends and fans of Agot comforted her in the comment section and assured what she experienced was normal.
