Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla shared how her heart has been after her parting ways with her long-term partner, Swiss-Italian Norman Ben Bay. During the media conference for her contract signing with ABS-CBN earlier today, the Kapamilya star admitted that she isn’t closing the doors to dating again but will prioritize her work at the moment.

Bela is one of the Kapamilyas that signed with ABS-CBN once more. She has returned to Star Magic after several years of being with her previous management.

When asked about the status of her heart, the Ang Probinsyano actress jokingly shared that it’s pumping and thriving just like a normal person. Despite this, she maintained that she is full of love, though not in the romantic way that others may think.

“It’s full. It is pumping and thriving. I mean, I feel like I’m full of love. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the same way we’re all thinking of–– I’m sure we’re thinking the same thing,” she answered.

“I don’t feel like I’m lacking right now. I have so much stuff I’m doing and more stuff I want to do,” she added.

Bela said it was one of her reasons for going back to the showbiz industry after her hiatus. She had previously been living in London where she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

“I think that’s also one of my reasons din eh, parang I’ve known for months I was gonna sign for today’s contract signing, right? I’ve known for a while that I would enter this world again and come home fully,” she expressed.

Coming back to the Philippines and working full time once again, the Kapamilya actress maintained that she wants to give her craft the attention that it needs–– far from any distraction. She expressed that her work and passion for the arts is one of the reasons why she still feels like she is full of love despite not having any romantic partner at the moment.

“I don’t want to commit to people here who take their jobs seriously and be here half-heartedly. When I do something, I have to do it 500%. Because they’re promising something to me, I want to promise something back too —and that’s my 100% attention,” she continued.

Bela still remains open to dating, though she currently has her eyes focused on her work especially as she is set to complete the filming of some of her movies.

“I feel like that's the beauty of life, always staying open. Wala pa naman. Let’s see, let’s see baka after na ng mga shino-shoot ko,” she expressed.
