Chelsea Manalo concluded her journey at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico, finishing in the top 30, after not making it to the top 12.

For this year's pageant, the top 12 candidates were Bolivia, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, Russia, Chile, Thailand, Denmark, Canada, and Peru.

Despite the results, Filipino fans online rallied behind Chelsea and expressed their pride in how well she represented the country on the international stage.

"You did well, Chelsea! You made Philippines and every Filipino proud. Thank you for raising our flag," one fan commented.

"Thank you, Chelsea! 🫶 You did a great job," another fan said.

The coronation night of the Miss Universe was held on November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico.

The international pageant recently unveiled a new Miss Universe crown which was made in the Philippines by luxury brand Jewelmer.

"Caressed by the sun’s rays, the sea generously offers us a magical gift — the rare golden South Sea pearl, the National Gem of the Philippines," the brand posted on social media upon sharing the inspiration behind the crown.

The crown is described as "a miracle created in 377 steps over five years" and a "treasure [that] is brought to life by the most pristine environment and utmost human care."

"This precious gem embodies the brilliance of our co-existence with Mother Nature. As long as there is a pearl, there is life shining through every moment," the brand added.

Prior to the coronation night, Chelsea competed in the preliminary competition on November 14.

The Filipino beauty queen donned a national costume created by Manny Halasan dubbed as "Hiraya."

On her Instagram page, Chelsea shared the inspiration behind her costume. "Hiraya is a vision of what will become…. It is clear in your mind, and it speaks truthfully in your heart. It is a vision of what and how things are in the future," she wrote on social media.

The beauty queen added: "Believing in once was a dream and aspiration to being able to touch and live it into reality. Faith can navigate us through life. No matter what religion we believe in. If we pray for something, devote and give our faith and work for it, in God’s perfect time everything is possible."
