Singer Pops Fernandez wrote a heartfelt message of gratitude to singer and host Martin Nievera with whom she shared the stage for her Always Loved concert last Friday, February 9 at The Theater at Solaire Resorts and Casino in Parañaque City.

In her Instagram post, the 57-year-old singer made three separate posts about her ex-husband as she appreciated his gesture in supporting her in her comeback concert.

“He was supposed to have his yearly Valentine show in Solaire but decided to skip this year when he found out I will be doing Always Loved. I told him to go ahead and do it as he will just be guesting in mine. He opted not to,” Pops wrote in her post.

She then expressed her gratitude to Martin and noted how they have unparalleled chemistry working together.

“To the man who i share my 40 plus years in the industry with.. ( whether we like it or not 😜) I wasn't sure if my spiel that night was clear so let me try to say it again… i don't think i would have 'shined' as much until we worked together in Penthouse Live! There is that chemistry that up to this day is unparalleled. Even, we, are surprised. We bring out the best in each other,” the Philippines’ Concert Queen added.

She continued: “Yes, he is an excellent performer on his own… he never needed me but then again when we are on stage… MAGIC! He has taught me how to be more passionate with my work only cause that is how he is… his life is singing and performing.”

The Concert Queen then ended her message by sending her gratitude to Martin, whom she believed made her shine.

“Thank you for all the lessons… thank you for making me Shine, Martin Nievera,” she said before adding hashtags such as "always loved" and "grateful."

Martin then replied to Pop’s appreciation post and congratulated her for celebrating her 40th year in the industry.

“You didn’t need me to shine, Pipay. You shine bright all by yourself. That’s why I am so proud of you,” the Philippines’ Concert King wrote.

He also added: “Maybe there was a time in your 40 that I had to disappear for a while to let you find your wings. And boy oh boy have you learned to fly! When you need our kind of magic I am never far away.:

The 62-year-old singer then praised and thanked Pops for the kind words she said.

“Thank you for the kind words and for including me in your 40TH year celebration. Congratulations to you and your entire team. You were awesome!” Martin remarked.

Fans, friends, and followers couldn’t help but express their happiness and respect to both artists in the comment section.

“Thank you for showing us how it is done.. blended.. extended.. life after love after love after love but always loved 🥰 indeed! Congratulations Tita Pops! Truly, I praise the LORD because of you :),” one commented.

Pops and Martin were married for 14 years before deciding to part ways in 2000. The ex-couple have two sons, Ram and Robin.
