Kaila Estrada remains a solid Kapamilya as she signed a contract with ABS-CBN earlier today, February 19, at the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City. 

The contract signing took place just days away from Kaila’s fourth anniversary with the Kapamilya network. 

ABS-CBN chairman Mark L. Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, COO of Broadcast Cory V. Vidanes, ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti M. Dyogi, and ABS-CBN head of finance Rick Tan, among others.

Kaila couldn’t help but become emotional as she signed a new contract with the Kapamilya network. She revealed that it has always been a dream of hers to be part of ABS-CBN as she grew up being familiar with most of the people in the network.

“Honestly, I’m on cloud nine right now. I’m so happy to be here and I’m so grateful… Of course, I want to say thank you for taking me under your wing and for believing in me. This is where I want my journey to begin and I’m so grateful that this is where it will continue,” she emotionally said.

The Linlang actress was then surprised with several video greetings ranging from people she worked with in the entertainment industry down to her family. 

Kaila’s parents John Estrada and Janice De Belen expressed their love and support towards her in the video greeting.

“Nakakatuwa naman at nakakataba ng puso ko dahil lahat nalang po ng nakatrabaho ni Kaila, nakatrabaho ko din. Wala po [silang] sinasabi kung hindi ‘Oh Kuya John nakasama ko po yung anak niyo sa kung ano-anong [projects]. Ang galing, napakabait na bata,’” John said.

“Marami na ako naririnig na praises for you and you know you’re in good hands. Congratulations, basta magpakabait ka, mag dasal ka parati. Of course, alam mo naman na andito lang si dad,” he added.

“Know that I am very proud of you and I will always be proud of you. I wish you continuous success but as you hold your head up high, also keep your feet on the ground. Hayaan mo anak, may contract ka na sa ABS-CBN. Hindi ka na anak ni Janice, ako na ang magiging nanay ni Kaila. I love you,” Janice shared.

Meanwhile, Kaila assured everyone that she would forever be a Kapamilya and that her loyalty to the network wouldn’t waver. 

“I’m really so grateful and I feel so blessed. I’m very happy and proud to be a Kapamilya. I will always be a Kapamilya for as long as you guys will have me. Thank you so much for this,” Kaila added. 

When asked who she wants to work with in the future, the Can’t Buy Me Love star mentioned the names of Kapamilya stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Angelica Panganiban, Angel Locsin, and Piolo Pascual, among others. 

Kaila is the latest Kapamilya to sign with ABS-CBN. 

Just this month, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo both renewed their contracts with the Kapamilya network.
