Anne Curtis performs Taylor Swift’s songs for ‘Its Showtime’ birthday production number

Anne Curtis performed Taylor Swift's songs for her birthday production number on It's Showtime on Saturday, February 24.

The actress-host performed Taylor's various hits including "Ready for it," "Cruel Summer," "Bejeweled," "Shake it Off," and "Enchanted."

"I'm still on a high from 'The Eras Tour' na napanood [ko] kaya talagang I just wanted to celebrate," Anne said following her performance.

Anne also expressed her gratitude to Taylor for creating anthems for women.  

"Gusto ko lang sabihin kay ate Taylor, ate Tay-Tay, thank you so much for creating anthems for girlhood to womanhood talagang naka-relate ako sa mga kanta niya. Kaya I felt it was so apt for my birthday celebration this year," she said.

If given the opportunity to have a duet with Taylor, Anne shared that she would want to sing "Invisible String" with the global pop star, a track from the Grammy-winning album Folklore.

Various Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were also invited to the It's Showtime studio to celebrate Anne's birthday.

It can be recalled that Anne's banter with Vice Ganda in an episode of It's Showtime years ago became viral online after she thought that Vice was suggesting that one of the occasions that many OFWs missed in the Philippines was her birthday.

In the Saturday episode, February 24, of It's Showtime, Vice declared: "Anne's birthday is OFW Day so pagdating ng month na 'yan kasama na sa mga plano ng mga uuwi galing sa ibang bansa na mga Kapamilya natin ang dumaan sa Showtime studio para batiin ka ng happy birthday. Anne's birthday is OFW day in Showtime."

Anne's birthday is on February 17. She spent her natal day in Melbourne where she had a birthday weekend celebration with her family and watched Taylor's The Eras Tour with her friends.  

The Kapamilya star shared a montage of her Eras Tour experience on social media.

"I want to relive this all over again. 🌈🦄✨💖 P.S - LOL I’m that person whose own voice you hear on videos you take at a concert because you were singing at the top of your lungs! 💖 SORRY vid is so long but how can you fit almost 3 hours of core mems into a short vid?" Anne posted on her Instagram page.
