Kapamilya singer Anji Salvacion isn’t closing her doors on acting despite the different criticisms she faced last year. In an exclusive interview with PUSH during the Star Magical Prom last March 14, the Pinoy Big Brother Big Winner was confident that she could prove her doubters wrong in the future.

Anji starred in the hit Prime series Linlang as Kate Alcantara, the younger relative of Juliana Alcantara-Lualhati (portrayed by Kim Chiu). Her acting was met with mixed reactions as some were not entertained while others remained hopeful that she could eventually deliver a good performance.

“Acting? I’m not closing my doors on acting,” she told PUSH.

The PBB Big Winner added that the criticisms she faced last year gave her the “drive to do more” when it comes to her acting career.

“If you think I’ve been traumatized from last year, well, no. It just gave me more drive to do more. I’m just as best as my yesterday so kalaban ko lang ang sarili ko,” she added.

Anji continued that she is continuously learning the skills she needs in order to be a good actress. She maintained that learning to cope with the gap is needed in the entertainment industry.

“All I have to do is cope up with the change cause that’s the only thing constant in the world. To cope up with that gap, I need to learn everyday,” she said.

Meanwhile, Anji held an album launch for her latest EP, Grit, on March 16 at the Gateway Cineplex in Quezon City. She expressed her excitement for the preparations she made for her fans to enjoy.

“We did a band rehearsal and a choreo yesterday. It was so fun. I’ve been doing workshops, vocal lessons. To be more prepared [for the album launch], yung mindset [ko] din na ‘this is your chance, this is your moment, get it girl,’” she said.
