The official trailer for the highly anticipated film, Under Parallel Skies, was released earlier today, March 15. The trailer showed the chemistry between lead stars Janella Salvador and Win Metawin.

Under Parallel Skies is set to screen in the Philippines on April 17 in cinemas nationwide. The international film will be shown in several countries as well, such as Singapore and Thailand on May 1 and May 9, respectively.

The film is the debut project of production company, 28 Squared Studios. It is also the first local movie for the year that international production house Warner Bros. will be distributing.

The trailer shows Iris (played by Janella) who works in Hong Kong as part of the hotel staff and helps out Parin (portrayed by Win) who had a little too much alcohol during their first encounter. The relationship of the two then blossoms as Iris tries to help Parin find his missing mother in Hong Kong.

Eventually, the two fall in love as Parin professes his love for Iris in the romantic city. The trailer then showed Iris seemingly leaving Parin who in turn starts looking for her as well.

Under Parallel Skies talks about how the two characters are able to navigate love, heartbreak, and healing in the foreign city amid their differences in culture and identity.

Meanwhile, fans shared their excitement after the trailer dropped. Various reactions from Janella and Win’s fans were spotted in the comment section of the post.

“My heart, can't wait to burst into tears seeing the trailer. I can't but surely bring a lot of tissue on April 17,” a fan wrote.

“Hooray trailer is out. Oh my, everything looks interesting looking forward to watching it,” another fan added.

Under Parallel Skies made its world premiere last Sunday, March 10, in Hong Kong, where the movie was filmed. Present at the premiere were the two lead stars alongside 28 Squared Studios CEO Richard Juan and the film’s director, Sigrid Bernardo.
