Morisette Amon finally broke her silence on social media as she responded to several rumors thrown against her by a netizen who was said to be present at the private event she sang for. The said netizen alleged that the Kapamilya singer delivered a subpar performance during her set in the corporate event.

Morisette didn’t want to take any more hate and negativity, so she decided to speak up about the said issue.

“I REALLY DON’T UNDERSTAND WHERE ALL THIS HATE IS COMING FROM,” she wrote. “I never met the man who supposedly directed the event that I was asked to perform for, so I’m really not getting why he went out of his way to put out so much hate towards me and my craft.”

The hitmaker revealed that she wasn’t feeling that well during the day of the event but decided to push through in the spirit of professionalism. She recalled how she had her husband drive her to the event and how she even took steroids prior to her performance to improve her vocals.

“There came a time when I became so dependent with taking steroids for my voice, to which I was only supposed to take for emergency. But in the past couple of years, I’ve been able to limit my use to only worse case scenarios…And that night I believe was one of them and I had no choice but to take another 16mg,” she narrated.

“The talent coordinator was made aware of my health state and took care of us backstage as I was getting ready… I performed as planned, again not a hundred percent, but rest assured I gave my all, even congratulating the awardees on stage and still belting my heart out,” she added.

Morisette went on to say that she even took the time to take some photos with the staff backstage despite her health issues during that day. She assured her fans that she tried to do her best even if she wasn’t at a hundred percent.

“So I really don’t know what else to tell you guys. I showed up to that event and still tried to give it my all but I guess I can’t please everybody. I really didn’t think much of this issue cause my conscience is clear,” she said.

“I have pretty high standards for myself especially when it comes to my craft, but I knew then that there wasn’t really music I could do because I am in fact still human and get sick and have down days too,” she ended.

Morisette hopes to put an end to the issue with her statement and advised her fans to take care of themselves by staying away from “unnecessary negativity.”
