South Korean stars Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol announced their split two weeks after they revealed their relationship to the public. In a statement released by both agencies of the actors, the decision to part ways came from the both of them.

Ryu Jun-yeol previously dated singer-actress Hyeri for almost a decade before deciding to separate last November 2023.

“Han So Hee and actor Ryu Jun Yeol have broken up. The two both found their roles as actors to be more important. They promised to no longer be emotionally exhaust with their personal life,” Han So-hee’s agency, 9ato Entertainment shared.

“Han So Hee gave herself and the public a difficult time due to her personal emotions. Her method of communication was incorrect. She will accept any criticism. Above all, the agency is greatly responsible for not looking after its actor. The agency is reflecting on failing to properly play its role. Although it is very late, we will go on to right things from now on. Please continue to watch with a warm gaze,” they added.

The ex-couple’s decision to break up comes after netizens criticized the South Korean actress for allegedly becoming a third party to Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri’s relationship. This has since been denied by Han So-hee in her personal blog.

“When we exchanged feelings for one another, it was already the beginning of 2024, and his breakup with that person was already wrapped up in early 2023. I heard that news articles about the breakup came out in November. Based on this fact, I confirmed my own feelings, and I kept going with the relationship,” she previously stated.

Han So-hee is best known for her role as Yeo Da-kyung in The World of the Married and Yoo Na-bi in Nevertheless. Meanwhile, Ryu Jun-yeol became known internationally after the release of Reply 1988 in 2016 where he portrayed the role of Kim Jung-hwan.
