"What you see is what you get."

This was how Alden Richards described the real score between himself and Kathryn Bernardo after fans online started shipping them after the actor attended the birthday celebrations of the actress recently.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas of 24 Oras, Alden shared the experience being present at Kathryn's post-birthday celebration after also attending the Kapamilya star's birthday celebration in El Nido, Palawan.

"I was invited and siyempre, it was part of her post-birthday celebration with friends and family. Masaya naman. Masaya naman 'yung naging experience and you can see how happy Kath is right now," he said.

Meanwhile, Alden did not further elaborate on the real score between him and the actress explaining: "Hindi lang din talaga kailangan lagi ipamalita sa social media 'yung mga ganiyan. You know, sometimes 'yung mga personal things that's happening, better be personal na lang."

On March 26, Alden alongside the other members of the Hello, Love, Goodbye cast joined Kathryn in celebrating her 28th birthday in El Nido.

"WHAT A DAY! Didn’t want it to end. Keeping these moments in my core memory forever. 🥹 Thank you for making this my happiest birthday to date. Cheers to 28! 🤍🥂" Kathryn posted on her Instagram page following her birthday celebration on the island.

Alden and Kathryn first worked together on Hello, Love, Goodbye in 2019 which became the highest grossing Pinoy movie before the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Rewind surpassed its record.

In a previous interview with Bandera, Alden remarked that he is open to doing a sequel of Hello, Love, Goodbye with Kathryn.

"Ako po… of course Hello, Love, Goodbye naman po made history and 'yun naman rin po ang gusto ng mga nakapanood, na magkaroon ng part 2," he said.

The actor added: "Sinabi ko kay Direk Cathy (Garcia-Sampana), sabi ko, ‘Direk kapag gumawa kayo ng part 2 ikaka-cancel ko muna lahat ng schedule ko."

"But then again, that’s really up to Star Cinema kasi sila naman 'yung producer and they own the rights of the movie," he pointed out.
