During the recent presscon for THE SIGN '90s Supershow: A Benefit Concert which features most of the country’s most talented dance groups from the '90s, some celebrity dancers were noticeably absent from the lineup of confirmed performers. This included Universal Motion Dancer member Wowie de Guzman and Streetboys members Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario.

The dancers present at the presscon shared why their co-dancers could not be part of the event lineup.

“Ininvite namin sila pero ang naging problema talaga is yung schedule. Katulad nung kila Wowie, Vhong, at Jhong, hindi talaga kakayanin nung schedule dahil malayo yung venue sa kanila. Talagang di kakayanin. Actually gustong gusto namin sila makasama. Pinakaproblema lang talaga is yung schedule nung mga kasama namin.

"Nagkataon na meron na silang kanya kanyang schedule na sa April 19 gustuhin man nila sumama ay hindi talaga kaya. Yun talaga yun. So as much as possible pinilit namin na mabuo ito. Surprisingly, naging okay si Spencer Reyes na based na sa UK and then after that, nag-yes rin naman si Danilo Barrios. So as much as we can, tina-try namin na maging kumpleto. And you’ll never know after this, kung maging maganda yung feedback, why not if given a chance makumpleto ang grupo ng Streetboys,” shared Streetboys member Christo Cruz.

UMD member Marco McKinley explained that Wowie already had a previous commitment as one of the country’s most in demand Zumba instructors.

“Kasi si Wowie busy sa Zumba. So sobrang advanced yung mga schedule niya. Same din dun sa twins at si Gerry. Buddy kasi niya si Wowie sa Zumba so kung nasan si Wowie nandun si Gerry. Busy sobra. Kahit one month, two months ago may schedule na sila talaga. Kahit kami ganun din si Christo, advanced yung mga booking namin. Pero next year plano namin mag-re-reunion kami .Actually si Wowie, nagkausap kami, ita-try niya makasunod to support the event. Ita-try niya sumunod. Para kahit manuod lang siya or sumayaw siya ng saglit, pero ita-try niya yung best niya na makahabol,” he shared.

Streetboys member Meynard said their group stills get to reconnect with Vhong and Jhong through Kapamilya events.

“Last time was during the Christmas Special ng ABS-CBN sa Araneta Coliseum. Nagsayaw rin kami sa PGH kasi rinequest ni Jhong na kung puwede ba kami sumayaw for charity kasi kilala niya yung isang doctor dun. So hindi lang din kami nagkakasama sa sayaw, minsan nag-ge-get together din kami, nag-ku-kuwentuhan lang kami and konting drinks ng juice, mga ganun. Most recently lang is nung Christmas and then nung January. Tapos nag-re-reunion din kami minsan,” he shared.
