Cross-country film Under Parallel Skies is heading to more countries and regions. Production company 28 Squared Studios announced that due to the rave reviews from the Philippines after it was released on April 17, the movie will be released next in cinemas in Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, and Vietnam.

Starring Thai actor Win Metawin and Filipino actress Janella Salvador, it was previously announced that the movie will also hit the big screens in Singapore starting May 1 and Thailand beginning May 9.

Directed by Sigrid Bernardo, Under Parallel Skies follows the story of a Thai bachelor named Parin (played by Win) who travels to Hong Kong in search of his missing mother. He encounters a Filipino hotel receptionist named Iris (played by Janella) who helps him navigate love, heartbreak, and healing in the foreign city amid their differences in culture and identity.

Shot in Hong Kong from June 2023 to July 2023 with the support of Hong Kong Tourism Board as the film’s destination partner and Cathay Pacific as the film’s airline partner, the film features iconic local locations including Peng Chau, Avenue of Stars, Kowloon City, and Tai O. The movie is produced by 28 Squared Studios in co-production with Two Infinity Entertainment.
