Filipino Radwimps fans are just a few days away from the first-ever Manila concert for the Japanese rock band sensation, Radwimps, happening on May 1, Wednesday, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Presented by local concert organizer PULP Live World, the RADWIMPS WORLD TOUR 2024 “The way you yawn, and the outcry of Peace” IN MANILA is set to bring their fans a memorable and exciting night full of stories and love.

Here are some things from Radwimps previous concerts that you can look forward to at their upcoming Manila event this week:

Live performance by the band

Nothing can beat the one-of-a-kind moment for a fan to hear their favorite artists and perform their masterpieces live in concert.

As the Japanese rock sensation is set to hold their first concert in the country, Filipino fans are expected to experience the magical moment the band will bring as they sing some of their hit songs such as Nanoka, Iindesuka and many more.

In a video posted by PULP, the band shared how happy they were to finally come over.

“This is going to be our biggest Asian tour ever. We went on a world tour last year and received so much love from fans, so we’ll multiply it many times and give it back on this tour,” they said.

“Please be ready and we’ll have an incredible time together,” they added.

Anime OSTs to sing along with

Araneta Coliseum’s gates are not the only thing that will open at eight in the evening on Wednesday, but also the anime world where some of the Radwimps' songs were featured.

Setting the vibe from Makoko Shinkai's hit animated movies, Your Name and Weathering with You, fans hope to sing along to songs like “Sparkle”, “Is There Still Anything That Love Can Do?”, “Nandemonaiya” and more in their upcoming concert.

Although there is still no official setlist that is announced for the Manila leg, the band is also expected to sing their 2022 soundtrack for Shinkai’s anime film, Suzume, which grossed more than $300 million at the global box office.

Ocean of lights from fans

Besides “infectious melodies, powerful performances, and thought-provoking lyrics” from the J-rock sensation, the beauty of the fans’ ocean of lights during the concert is one of the things you can look forward to this Wednesday.

Filipino fans are set to give the band the warmest welcome as they sing along with the band’s hit songs while waving their phone’s flashlights.

It’s like Mitsuha and Taki watching the meteor shower, but this time in the same time zone!

Exciting fan projects from the Filipino fans

Filipino fans continue to prove how sweet and loving they are with the numerous fan projects they have prepared for several artists who came to the Philippines.

As the Radwimps set their foot in the country for the first time, Filipino fans are gearing up for some surprises that will make the night a ‘walang uuwi’ or ‘iiyak na ‘yan’ time for the band.

No spoiler alert! You can check the social media pages of Filipino Radwimps fans for more details and to collaborate for some exciting activities.
