The cast of Queen of Tears held their wrap-up party as the series came to its conclusion.

Actress Jang Yoon-ju shared on her Instagram page clips and photos from the said wrap-up party held in a barbecue restaurant.

Present at the event were main stars Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won alongside supporting cast members Park Sun-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Lee Joo-bin, among others.

"Thank you all for loving Queen of Tears," she wrote on her Instagram page.

In the series, Yoon-ju portrayed the role of Baek Mi-seon, the older sister of Baek Hyun-woo played by Soo-hyun.

She also shared behind-the-scene snapshots from the set in her post.

Queen of Tears released its final episode on April 28.

According to a report by The Korea Times as per Nielsen Korea, the K-Drama gained the biggest viewership ratings for a drama on tvN.

It achieved 24.9 percent viewership rating and surpassed the record of Crash Landing on You which achieved 21.7 rating back in February 2020.

Queen of Tears also topped Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English series from March 25 to 31. It achieved 93.8 million hours of total viewership.

Queen of Tears follows the story of the intense challenges and the surprising renewal of love between Hong Hae-in (Ji-won), a wealthy heiress from Queens Group, and Baek Hyun-woo (Soo-hyun), a farmer's son from Yongdu-ri, over three years of marriage.

In an interview with Netflix K-Content global. Ji-won shared that it was the script of the series that made her "yes" to be part of the series.

"When I fist read the script, I had so many questions. How did this couple's relationship end up like this? Why are they so angry? Why is this person so cold and selfish? What happened? As I kept reading on what started out as curiosity eventually turned into affection for the story," she stated.

Meanwhile, Soo-hyun shared that it was the various emotions portrayed by the characters that made him love Queen of Tears.

"The tears shed on the show are all varied and different. You'll be able to feel the emotions of all the characters not just Hyun-woo's and Hae-in's," he remarked.
