It’s Showtime debuts in GMA 7, Kapuso artists join forces to celebrate

<p>The Kapamilya show It’s Showtime officially aired on GMA 7 last April 6. The noontime show served an unkabogable and memorable performance with a proud, loud and certified gold celebration as they entered a new era and a new home.</p><p><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><em><strong>It’s Showtime</strong></em></a> hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, Jhong Hilario, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, MC, Lassy, Ion Perez, ‘Ate Girl’ Jackie Gonzaga, Cianne Dominguez and Darren Espanto were in high spirits during their opening production number.</p><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FitsShowtimena%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02ttWZt6S5NnZ3Zs7qpYjL1TRbC81LW3fybDxfGtcngD7m4Z7UAeRQoLdZPoit5YHBl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500" width="500" height="250" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>In an interview backstage, Vice Ganda expressed how they all felt as they prepared for their debut airing on the Kapuso network.</p><p>“Ang taas ng energy namin. Magmula palang na inannounce sa amin na makakasampa kami sa GMA, ang taas na ng energy. ‘Yun yung nagpapagalaw sa amin sa araw-araw,” he shared. “May mataas na pressure, of course. Mayroong stress level, mataas din, pero positive siya eh. Positive namin siyang hinarap kaya masipag ang lahat, maliksi lahat, mataas ang energy at very cooperative ang lahat.”</p><p>He went on: “Hindi man ganoon ka-smooth ang mga pinagdaanan during preparation, pero naachieve naman bandang huli kaya I am very thankful sa lahat ng Showtime staff because they have worked so hard for this day.”</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/4/6/vice-ganda-dedicates-birthday-to-those-who-choose-to-dream-kung-kaya-ko-kaya-mo-1332"><strong>READ: Vice Ganda dedicates birthday to those who choose to dream: ‘Kung kaya ko, kaya mo’<br/></strong></a></div><p>The Unkabogable star, who also celebrated his birthday during the event, promised their certified Showtimers and their new Kapuso viewers that the show would strive to give them a moment of reprieve from their worries, a chance to rest and enjoy every day.</p><p>“Ang promise lang natin sa mga manonood talaga ay bigyan sila ng programang magpapatawa sa kanila sa tanghali, maglilibang sa kanila at makapagbigay sa kanila ng pagkakataon na makatakas, kahit sandali lang, sa lahat ng bigat na pinagdadaanan, parang hinga lang,” he said.</p><p>“Gawin niyo po kaming pahinga ninyo kahit ilang oras lang sa isang araw,” he invited the viewers.</p><p>Vice also revealed that there would be upcoming new segments to look forward to in the future.
