Yael Yuzon shares Sponge Cola’s ‘Tatlong Buwan’ inspired by K-Drama ‘Queen of Tears’

<p>Sponge Cola&#x27;s latest single &quot;Tatlong Buwan&quot; was inspired by the hit K-Drama <em>Queen of Tears.</em></p><p>This was the revelation of the band&#x27;s lead singer Yael Yuzon who was a fan of the series. </p><p>&quot;I don’t shy away from writing TV shows or a series because it is a universal truth. I am a human being and I have feelings and but addressing these feelings I get from shows, automatic it is relatable. You can write about your own experiences and you can be sensitive to other narratives that move you,&quot; Yael explained in an interview with ABS-CBN News.</p><p>It was during the tenth episode of <em>Queen of Tears</em> when he started writing the song.</p><div><iframe width="1519" height="569" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dBNGgK7JO4g" title="Sponge Cola - Tatlong Buwan (OFFICIAL MV)" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>“When I like something, I write about it. It was designed to be a tearjerker, it was intense. It escalated and by episode 10 – BAM! That press conference went the opposite direction where I thought it would go. And wow, the epilogue, speaking to the door, it was one of those if you know you know moments. Mind blowing, heavy drama, it was time to write the song,” he shared on what drove him to write the song.</p><p>Yael shared that he completed writing the song in 12 minutes.</p><p>&quot;I tucked in my wife then I started writing it. The song kind of wrote itself. You see why they&#x27;re the way they are. Sociological factors, family ties, trauma. You see how they&#x27;re all shaped and the push and pull of every character.&quot;</p><p>He further explained: &quot;Ultimately, there&#x27;s just so much clarity in the way the narrative unfolds that it&#x27;s so easy to empathize, which makes it easier to feel and easier to write.&quot;</p>
