OPM artist and former Sponge Cola drummer Chris Cantada announced that he will be releasing a song dedicated to TWICE member Jeongyeon.

The track is titled  "Once" and will have English and Korean versions.

The singer also shared a snippet of the song on social media.

Fans online were quick to react to the snippet of the track.

"Sounds really good," one fan commented.

"It's beautiful!" another fan wrote.

"I wanted it to feel like every ONCE (fan group name of TWICE) can sing it and have it resonate with them, no matter who their bias is," he said as reported by ABS-CBN News.

Meanwhile in his podcast, Chris shared why he chose May 24 as the release date of the track.

"This song has been in development for a very long time. But when it was announced that TWICE will be coming to the Philippine for a fan meet, it just gave me an idea to finish it to coincide with the event. So I decided to move up the release to May 24th, a week before TWICE arrives here in Manila in hopes that maybe, just maybe, TWICE might get to hear the song before they arrive here in Manila," he remarked.

TWICE is set to return to Manila on June 1 for a fan meet in partnership with a local snack company.

The news of their fan meeting was announced back in March.

"We are inviting you to the first Oishi x TWICE Fan Meet! Please come and enjoy snacks, games, and have fun with us," TWICE announced in a video posted on March 20.

TWICE recently held concerts in the Philippines for their "Ready to Be World Tour" on September 30 and October 1, 2023 at the Philippine Arena.
