<p style="margin:0cm">Universal Pictures has finally revealed the first full trailer for the initial installment of the two-part film adaptation of the Tony-award winning musical <em>Wicked</em>. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film features a star-studded cast with Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The movie is set to hit theaters on November 27.</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">The trailer shows a glimpse into the magical world that is Oz, showcasing the moment Elphaba and Glinda first meet. The trailer shared snippets of beloved songs from the musical, including “Popular” and a brief look at the iconic “Defying Gravity.”</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">The trailer also highlights an important exchange between the two main characters. “Don’t be afraid,” said Glinda (Ariana). Director Jon M. Chu expressed his long-standing desire to bring <em>Wicked</em> to the big screen, saying, “Whenever anyone asks me, ‘What’s one movie you want to do?’ If there was one, I’d say it’d be <em>Wicked.”</em></p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">Cynthia Erivo reminisced about her first experience with the musical. “On my 25th birthday, I took myself to see the show.
