<p>Celebrity athletes Michele Gumabao and Alyssa Valdez bagged another gold medal with their club team, Creamline Cool Smashers, at the recently concluded Premier Volleyball League All Filipino Conference 2024. Meanwhile, this is the Cool Smashers’ second win in less than a year in the All Filipino Conference (AFC) category of the tournament.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/3/23/alyssa-valdez-awarded-with-most-trusted-sportsperson-1119" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>READ: Alyssa Valdez awarded with Most Trusted Sportsperson</u></strong></a></div><p>Michele took it to her Instagram account earlier this week to express her gratitude to everyone who supported them throughout the conference. She shared how their championship was destined for their squad for this season.</p><p>“It was meant to be 🏆 Thank you Lord for everything. From finishing 4th in the eliminations, with our backs against the wall in the semis, to winning from behind in most sets in the finals, it was definitely a sweeter happy ending,” she wrote.</p><p>“Thank you sa lahat ng nagtiwala, nag cheer at nagpray… This is for all of us 🏆 #creamlinecoolsmashers,” she added.</p><p>The Creamline Cool Smashers finished the preliminary round in fourth place after being beaten by several teams–– one of the rare times they finished in the said position. The Creamline Cool Smashers swept their opponents in the final stage of the competition with their second game going until the fifth set.</p><p>Meanwhile, fans sent their congratulatory messages to the team in the comment section of Michele’s post. Some of the fans shared how dominating the club team is as they previously won the AFC cup already. </p><p>“Congratulations to all of you. Creamline Cool Smashers. Dasurv👏👏👏. More championship to the snack friends,” a fan wrote.</p><p>With their win, the Creamline Cool Smashers are looking to take a break from the court as they enjoy their vacation somewhere abroad.</p><div><br/></div>
