Jace Roque on new album under Star Music: ‘It’s the combination of everything that I can offer in the industry’

<p>Singer and songwriter Jace Roque is moving into a new era under Star Music as he is set to release his new album, <em>Paradiso,</em> on Friday, May 24.</p><p>In a media conference last Wednesday, May 22, Jace revealed that his upcoming <em>Paradiso</em> album was actually inspired by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri’s literature.</p><p>“Yung title ng <em>Paradiso</em> was inspired by Dante Alighieri’s <em>Divine Comedy</em>… It has three parts, Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. Ito yung discography ko na dinala ko sa Star Music from the different record labels in the past from the international scene na ngayon pa lang ilalabas sa local… In-own ko yung music ko from lahat ng record label,” he said.</p><p>“This was self-produced. Ako po nagsulat, nagarrange, nagmix, nagrecord, but nakipagcollaborate din po ako with one of the biggest music engineers in the country. Very collaborative process siya, I have two producers dito na Dubai-based and India-based,” he remarked.</p><p>“It&#x27;s a combination of everything that I can offer in the industry.”</p><p>Jace also shared that each song from the album is from his journey in life that he wanted to relay through music without straightforwardly telling his life story.</p><p>“Yung tracklisting ko story din siya, hindi siya random songs na nilagyan ng numbers. Ang sinasabi ko na differentiation ng P-pop sound ko versus the current sound ngayon, more American and European house yung music ko kasi ang P-pop now ay in different landscape.</p><p>“I’m not here to compete.
