Karylle and her mother Zsa Zsa Padilla participated in this year's Santa Cruz de Mayo in Manila.

On her Instagram page, the It's Showtime host shared snapshots and clips of their experience.

"On Sunday, Mama and I took part in a most meaningful activity called the Santa Cruz de Mayo where we were Reyna Emperatriz y Reyna Elena," Karylle posted.

The host-singer shared that the event was organized by the Philippine Heritage Society.

"The event was held in the Intramuros grounds and the procession led us to the beautiful Manila Cathedral where the group gathered to pray," she said.

Fans online were quick to react to  her post.

"You are both beautiful. Regal," one fan commented.

"Love it Ms. Karylle, very dignified and proudly Pinay😍," another fan wrote.

"Reyna Elena suits you perfectly Ms. K😍," another fan commented.

Last March, Karylle and Zsa Zsa marked another special occasion when the former had her renewal of vows with husband Yael Yuzon.

"Congratulations, K and Yael! It was a beautiful ceremony for your renewal of vows! 😊💐💒," Zsa Zsa posted on social media back in March.

It was in February when Yael proposed again to Karylle as they marked their tenth wedding anniversary. The proposal happened on It's Showtime. 

“Magte-ten years na kami na kasal and alam mo yung thing kasi na being kasal na kayo ng ten years, parang mas maa-analyze mo yung mga things through the ups and downs, mostly ups pero sa mga downs mo, actually, mas maanalyze yung mga things,” Yael said.

“Tapos kung sigurado ka back then, mas madaling sigurado now kasi mayroon na tayong 10 years together. Kaso kasi may hindi ako nagawa before, and I’m going to do it now,” Yael then popped the question to Karylle as he proposed.

Karylle then reflected on how they stayed strong as a couple through the ups and downs of life.

“I think maganda yung ginawa niyang kanta yung una naming theme song sa wedding ‘dahil kilala na kita ang nais ko lang makilala ka pa’ kasi hindi naman kami gumawa ng mga written vows kasi hindi naman namin alam kung ano ang mayroon sa future,” Karylle said.

She added: “But ang alam lang namin na we will keep trying, and we will fail and we will keep trying again and again and again."
