<p>Music Fiesta successfully showcased a remarkable blend of P-pop and K-pop talents. The event, organized by SBTown, attracted thousands of attendees, celebrating the vibrant music scenes of both countries.</p><p>Music Fiesta was masterminded by Geong Seong-Han, more popularly known as Tatang Robin, a former South Korean TV personality and producer of renowned P-pop group SB19.</p><p>The festival kicked off with a media conference on Friday, May 24, introducing an exciting lineup of rising K-pop idols who also performed at the SBTown Music Fiesta last Sunday, May 26.</p><div><span>Leading the lineup was X:IN, a dynamic five-member multinational girl group that debuted in South Korea in April 2024 with their single “Keeping The Fire.” Their debut mini album, ‘THE REAL,’ showcases their unique style and global appeal.</span></div><div><span>Featuring members from South Korea, India, and Russia, Hannah, one of the members, shared their journey: &quot;We have one pre-debut single entitled &#x27;Who am I?&#x27; We debuted with the song &#x27;Keeping the Fire,&#x27; and our first mini album consisted of four songs. Our second mini album also has four songs.&quot;</span></div><div><span>Another festival performer was Queenz Eye, a five-member South Korean girl group that debuted in October 2022 with their single album “Queenz Table.” The group expressed their excitement about visiting the Philippines, with Ahyoon humorously mentioning, &quot;Literally, Jollibee,&quot; and Hannah adding, &quot;We were talking about that for weeks, like &#x27;I’m going to eat Jollibee.&#x27;&quot;</span></div><div><span>DIGNITY, a five-member boy group that debuted in September 2022 with their pre-debut single “Rambo,” also graced the stage. The group, excited to perform in the Philippines, shared their enthusiasm for connecting with Filipino fans. Minseok noted, &quot;Aside from Luke, it’s all four members’ first time in the Philippines,&quot; with Luke adding his fond memories of a previous visit to Cebu.</span></div><div><span>Solo performances by Yu Soohyun of the K-pop Trot girl group MINIMANI and Jang Hyeri, a former member of Girl’s Day and bebop, further enriched the festival. Both artists expressed their admiration for the Philippines, highlighting its beauty and the warmth of its people. Jang Hyeri, an avid scuba diver, shared her love for the diving spots in Palawan and Cebu.</span></div><div><span>The event was hosted by South Korean actor and model Sang Hyun Lee, also known as Danny Lee. With his previous visits to Manila, Danny Lee brought charisma and enthusiasm to the stage, enhancing the overall experience for the audience.</span></div><div><span>Tatang Robin announced that the Music Fiesta would become an annual event, promising more exciting performances from famous and rising K-pop idols, as well as Korean actors and actresses. In recognition of their participation, the Manila Koreatown Association (MAKOTA) awarded the idols present with the title of Ambassadors of Manila KoreaTown Association, marking a memorable conclusion to the festival.</span></div><div><br/></div><div><span>— By Samantha Prats</span></div>
