Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok shared a message for his Filipino fans ahead of his fan meeting in Manila.

Woo-seok is set to stage his "Summer Letter" fan meeting tour in the country this month at the New Frontier Theater.

"Hello everyone. This is Byeon Woo-seok. I have good news for my fans in the Philippines. This coming June 22, 2024, we will be having the 2024 'Byeon Woo-seok Asia Fan Meeting Tour: Summer Letter' in Manila. I'm excited to meet you all and have a great time together. See you soon! Mahal ko kayo!" he said in the video posted by concert organizer PULP Live World. 

Fans online were quick to react to the video.

"Mahal ka rin namin! Filo tong-tongs are so very excited to meet you! See you next week, Wooseok-a!" one fan wrote.

"Can’t wait to see youuu on 22 😭🥹," another fan posted.

"OMG!!!!!!! kilig sa mahal ko kayo 😘😘😘😘😘😘 mahal ka din namin!!!" another fan commented.

The tickets for Woo-Seok's fan meeting were sold out in two hours after they went on sale on June 2.

Fans requested for a second day however PULP confirmed that the fan meeting will only push through as a one-day event.

"We are officially SOLD OUT.  Unfortunately, as hard as we tried, there will be no second day as his schedule is all fully booked for now and we can't find any other date. Thank you for your strong love and interest for Byeon Woo-seok, let's just show him how much he's loved here in Manila when he comes, maybe that will make him want to come back again 🥰," PULP announced on June 7.

Woo-seok recently headlined the hit K-Drama series Lovely Runner which further catapulted him to international fame. He starred in the show alongside Kim Hye-yoon.

“I think there were many factors that contributed to the drama's success. The writer's penmanship was exceptional and the director's editing, directing and attention to detail were immaculate. It was a complex and well-crafted production. All these work out so well and I can't think of other words than sheer luck," the actor said on what he thought was the key to the drama's success in a recent interview with The Korea Times.

He was also all praised for his co-star who credited on helping him portray his character effectively.

"[Hey-yoon] has this energy as Sol at shooting sites. The energy she emanates automatically turns me into Sun-jae and do the lines effortlessly. As this is the first drama that I've shot spending the whole day at the shooting sites, I failed to manage my condition at some points. But she went out of her way to bring chocolates and lift my spirits. Seeing her, drenched in the cold during the scene but maintaining her professionalism, I realized how much I have to learn from her," the actor shared.

Aside from Lovely Runner, Woo-seok became part of several K-Dramas including Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Dear My Friends, Record of Youth, and Moonshine.

He also starred in the films 20th Century Girl and Soulmate.

Woo-seok received the Best New Actor award at the KBS Drama Awards in 2022 for his performance in Moonshine.
