Vlogger and self-made businessman Boss Toyo, whose real name is Jayson Luzadas, shared how he assesses all the memorabilia sold to him.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH Bets, Boss Toyo said that the value he places on the showbiz mementos is determined by the significance of the owner associated with each item and the impact they had on the industry.

He also said how important it is to know how the owner achieved their popularity and if the item is worth the value he could give.

“Kapag naging household name ka na sa Pilipinas, ayun medyo mataas iyon kasi everyone knows you, everybody knows you. Pero kung nagviral ka lang or marami kang views, pero hindi ka nila kilala as peerson, napanood lang nila video niyo, that’s a different thing. Doon ko iyon ina-assess,” he added.

Boss Toyo went on, “Hindi lahat ng nagviral, mataas iyong presyo. Iba pa rin nagpakahirap all throughout your career.”

The vlogger-entrepreneur then shared that buying the memorabilia is not just for his dream of opening his own museum, but also an investment in his children’s future.

“Actually, walang pera dito sa ginagawa ko… Pero para siyang investment. I see it as an investment in the near future, para sa mga anak ko… sila na yung magmamana nito pagdating ng panahon and sila na rin magdedecide kung ano yung mga ibebenta,” he told PUSH Bets.

As of this writing, Boss Toyo revealed that one of his most expensive items is the only pair of shoes from a popular brand designed only for former senator and boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. The item was purchased by Boss Toyo for 850,000 pesos.

He also stated that there are certain items he is still  looking forward to owning and possessing.

Siyaka anything about Ina Raymundo, idol ko iyon,” he said.

Boss Toyo made headlines for purchasing various celebrity memorabilia, including the coffin from Star Cinema’s blockbuster film Rewind, actor Jiro Manio’s Gawad Urian trophy, the controversial memorabilia of the late rapper Francis Magalona, and the FAMAS trophy of actor Niño Muhlach, which were all uploaded on his vlog series Pinoy Pawnstars.

When asked how he started the kind of business, Boss Toyo shared that it was an idea he had way back in 2020.

Boss Toyo also shared that his partner, Jhoy Maldo, gave him the encouragement to pursue his idea.
