K-Pop artist LUCAS visits the Philippines for the first time last Saturday, June 15 for his first solo fan concert in Asia: - MANILA

During the media conference hours before his show, LUCAS shared the deeper meaning behind his chosen concept, FIAT LUX : 熙. Derived from Latin, “Fiat Lux” translates to “there is light.”

LUCAS explained the personal significance of this concept, noting that the Chinese letter 熙 (hei) in his name, given by his father, means light.

“I really like the name because the fans are the light to me,” he expressed.

This visit marks LUCAS' first time in the Philippines, and he has made a concerted effort to immerse himself in the local culture. Prior to his arrival, he researched the country and even visited a Philippine market in Seoul to sample the cuisine.

"The food was very delicious, and the people were very hospitable to me as well," LUCAS shared.

LUCAS' enthusiasm for Filipino food was evident as he mentioned his eagerness to try lechon, a popular local dish. He also expressed his love for dried mangoes and his curiosity about Jollibee’s famous gravy sauce.

Reflecting on his recent performances, LUCAS opened up about his journey as a solo artist. He admitted to feeling nervous during his first fan conference in Indonesia but found strength and energy from his fans' support.

"In this opportunity at my Philippine fan con, I would love to get energized and receive a lot of love from my fans as well," he said.

LUCAS also shared insights from his Indonesian fan conference, highlighting a personal realization about his fast-paced nature.

"I realized that I should slow it down a little bit and take each and every step slowly," he noted.

When asked about his musical journey, LUCAS revealed that he has been experimenting with various rap tones and styles. Additionally, he expressed a desire to explore acting if given the opportunity

"The thing about defining my music is just me, myself, LUCAS, so I’ll try my best to show better music to you guys," he stated.

During his stay in the Philippines, LUCAS has been warmly welcomed by his fans. He recounted an encounter with some fans while buying snacks, noting their hospitality and impressive English skills.

"They were very hospitable, and it encouraged me to learn English too," he remarked.

In a final note, LUCAS shared a few Tagalog phrases he had practiced, expressing his effort to connect more deeply with his Filipino audience. As LUCAS continues his journey, the concept of FIAT LUX : 熙—a beacon of light and connection—remains central to his artistic and personal identity.
