Now, at 35, Arci admitted that she always tries her best to work hard so she can save money to travel and visit more countries around the world. I’m just happy, and fortunate, and grateful na meron akong mga magulang na nagtrabaho ng all their lives to give us good education and for sure may struggles din yung parents ko when we were growing up pero baka hindi nila pinapkita sa amin.</p><p>&quot;Kasi ganun naman yung mga magulang eh, as long as they can give what their kids need. I guess lahat naman ng mga pamilya may struggles. So hindi lang yun pinakita sa amin ng mga magulang namin and they made sure na maayos kami lahat lumaki and they really prepared for our future because we didn’t have to worry about where we had to live or what we were going to eat everyday. I’m just really blessed to have such good and loving parents.</p><p>&quot;So right now, I will do the same. So whenever I have a friend who is in need, I am just one text away and i-si-share ko if I have naman something to spare and yung bank account ko naman hindi ma-hu-hurt. Matagal na panahon na yun. Bata pa ako eh. Hindi na nakabayad. Hindi na ako naningil. Okay na yun. Matagal na matagal na yun. Kinalimutan ko na at saka maliit na halaga pero mas blessed naman tayo ngayon. Kaya ipaubaya na lang natin na nakatulong tayo. Hindi (ko) na masyado (siya nakikita). Not at all. I’m grateful na nakakatulong din ako. That’s why we are blessed talaga. Pero yung best advice is, of course, to save. It came from my mom. Before kasi I was always happy-go-lucky, I do what I want, I do whatever makes me happy as long as I don’t bother anyone. Right now I’m in the position in my life na I think I should make a wiser decisions, especially when it comes to financial decisions.</p><p>&quot;When I was younger, hawak ko yung pera ko and my mom she’d just advise me pero hindi siya nakikialam. Pero ngayon, I told my mom, ‘Ma, I think you need to make pakialam. I’m 35 right now and I think kailangan ko talaga ng i-set yung priorities ko in life.’ Kasi before, sabi lang ni mama, ‘Sige, enjoy your money. Pinaghirapan mo yan eh.’ But she said when I get my talent fee every month, I should save. So I have a separate bank account for yung hindi ko puwede galawin na pera. So every time I get my salary, I set aside almost half and the other half I travel with (laughs).</p><p>&quot;I’m not really into material or luxurious things. Instead of buying a new bag, I spend it sa travel. And sobra ako mag-budget when I travel so if I can go economy, I’ll fly economy. And when I travel, I just love to eat. Pero hindi ako masyado ma-shopping. So akala nila magarbo when I travel but no, it’s really because traveling gives me yung knowledge and the excitement na natututunan ko yung mga kultura sa mga countries na pinupuntahan ko more than yung mga material things. That’s the best advice, that I really have to save up for my future,” she explained. </p><p>Arci also shared how she unexpectedly went viral earlier this year during her trip to Thailand where she was inducted as a member of the Council for Women Empowerment in a Miss Universe event. She had also previously been a juror for the 2023 editions of Miss Universe Bahrain and Miss Universe Egypt.</p><p>“Ako rin nagulat kasi we were invited to Thailand by Miss Universe. So they appointed me as one of their women empowerment na council and kakadating ko pa lang, so we were waiting for check-in and me and my manager, we were just looking for a place to eat kasi naghahanap ako pad thai. Bumili lang kami ng milk tea tapos may nag-pi-picture na pala sa akin from afar. And it’s a great picture to be noticed by a random person in the street (laughs). Sabi ko, ‘Ah okay ang galing.’</p><p>&quot;He was Korean and he’s currently living in Thailand for work. And then it went viral. Eh hindi ako masyado ma-Tiktok. Kung kailangan lang (laughs). Pero I keep my hands off the phone pag hindi ko pa masyado kailangan. So ayun, surprisingly it went viral and I’m thankful dun sa photographer and everyone who made it viral.
