BTS member Jin is set to be discharged from Korea's mandatory military service this June.

According to a report by Korea Times, BigHit Music announced that Jin will complete his military service on June 12.

The singer then will be participating at the 2024 FESTA on June 13 at the Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul.

"This event was prepared in order to fulfill Jin’s wish to spend meaningful time with ARMY in person on BTS’s debut day. We invite you to join us as we express our gratitude for your unwavering love for BTS," BigHit said in a statement as reported by Soompi.

There will be two sessions at the event.

The first session will start at 3pm and is called "Jin's Greetings". It will be "a time for light hugs with Jin per request from the artist, and is expected to last about three hours," according to the agency.

The second session will start at 8pm and is called "Message from Jin", which will "showcase various performances that ARMY wish to see." The session will last for one hour.

"The 2024 FESTA in-person event with Jin will be held for the Weverse shop GLOBAL purchasers of albums (including solo albums) released after “Proof.” More details on the event will be provided in a separate notice," the agency added.

Ahead of being discharged from the military service, Jin shared a message for his fans last May.

"You'll be seeing me very soon. I've missed you a lot. Have a great May and remember that I'll be coming to you very soon," the singer said in the video posted on BANGTANTV's YouTube channel.

Jin was the first member of BTS who enlisted in Korea's mandatory service. He started his military service on December 13, 2022. 

In South Korea, all able-bodied men are required to enlist in the military by the age of 28 and must serve for at least 18 months.
