Krishna Marie Gravidez, crowned Miss Charm Philippines 2023, announced on Sunday, June 2, her decision to step down from competing in the Miss Charm International pageant. The beauty queen from Baguio shared the news through an Instagram post.

“After much consideration and reflection, I regret to inform you that I have decided to withdraw from the Miss Charm International competition,” Krishnah wrote.

Though she did not disclose specific reasons for her withdrawal, she emphasized that the decision was made after careful thought.

“I’ll always cherish the memories and lessons learned during my time of reign,” she shared.

Krishnah also thanked her supporters and team, acknowledging their patience and encouragement.

“It has been an honor to be part of such prestigious competitions. I’m truly grateful for the experiences and friendships I have gained along the way,” she added.

Krishnah's journey in pageantry has been remarkable. She was named Miss Charm Philippines 2023 in May, shortly after her notable performance in the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 where Makati’s Michelle Dee emerged as the winner and Bohol’s Pauline Amelinckx was declared Miss Supranational Philippines 2023.

Krishnah succeeded Annabelle McDonnell, who secured the first runner-up position in the Miss Charm 2022 competition held in February 2023.

The announcement has drawn supportive responses from her peers, including Miss Universe Philippines 2023 batchmates Michelle Dee and Pauline Amelinckx.

“Always proud of you, our queen,” Michelle commented.

Pauline likewise praised Krishnah's dedication and effort: “Proud of you and all your effort and dedication to your journey. We’re all behind you in whatever is next for you.”

Despite her withdrawal, Krishnah hinted at embarking on a new chapter in her life, leaving her followers curious about her future plans. As of now, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization and the Miss Charm pageant have not issued official statements regarding her decision.
