Danish soft rock band Michael Learns To Rock is set to hold their Manila show on November 5 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

As part of their Take Us To Your Heart Tour, the three-member band made the announcement on their social media pages about their stops for their Asian tour.

“Finally! - we are super happy to announce that we are coming back to Asia in November for our TAKE US TO YOUR HEART TOUR,” they penned in a post.

“Bringing a brand new show and celebrating all the MLTR hit songs that you know. Come and celebrate with us! Ticket links will be announced soon,” they added.

Further details such as ticket prices, seat plan, and fan benefits have yet to be announced.

Aside from their Manila stop, they also set to visit Jakarta, Surabaya, Bangkok, Genting Highlands, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh. All shows are scheduled for November.

Michael Learns to Rock was formed as a band in 1988, consisting of members Jascha Richter, Mikkel Lentz, Kåre Wanscher and Søren Madsen (who left the group in 2000).

As per their official website, “Michael Learns To Rock story is not only one of the most successful to ever come out of Denmark, but also a story of an exception,” reaching a “global record sales of 11 million physical albums since the debut album in 1991, more than a billion paid downloads, estimated 200 million video views on YouTube and more than 300 million streams on Spotify.”

They also added that “the secret about Michael Learns To Rock is simply their incredible gift to write, record and play great pop songs and get them through to people all over the world.”

The band’s greatest hits include “That’s Why (You Go Away)”, “Take Me To Your Heart”, “25 Minutes”, “Sleeping Child”, “Paint My Love”, “The Actor”, “Out of The Blue”, “Complicated Heart”, “Nothing To Lose”, “Breaking My Heart”, “You Took My Heart Away”, and many more.

In 2022, the band visited and performed in three cities in the Philippines, including Manila, Cebu City, and Davao City, for their Back On The Road Tour Asian leg.

Joining as the event’s front act, Filipina singer and dubbed as the country’s Soul Siren, Nina, where she shared how she felt performing for one of her favorite bands.

“Of course, I’m one of their avid fans, especially dahil sa mga songs nila,” she said.
