Baron Geisler grateful to Piolo Pascual for movie ‘Moro’

<p>Kapamilya actor Baron Geisler shared how grateful he is to his co-actor Piolo Pascual for giving him his “first big break in Philippine cinema” through the film, Moro. He recalled praying for a miracle to happen which was immediately answered through a phone call from the veteran director.</p><p>“I wanna thank Mr. Piolo Pascual we shot this nung 2019, this is my first big break in Philippine cinema. Ito yung first big role ko po nung 2019 nung galing akong preso at rehab. I prayed for a miracle. After a few months of fervently praying, God answered it with a call from direk Brillante Mendoza. Sabi niya, ‘Oh Baron may gagawin tayong pelikula magkapatid kayo ni Piolo pag-aralan mo to.&#x27; Sabi ko, &#x27;Sige po, direk,&#x27;” he shared.</p><p>Originally cast as the sibling of Piolo in the film, the Kapamilya actor was shocked to find out that he would be taking on Piolo&#x27;s role after the the actor had a conflict in schedule.</p><p>“Two months ako nag-immerse. Pumunta ako ng Davao, nag-enjoy ako sa Davao, tapos nung nasa Davao na ako minemorize ko &#x27;yung ibang lines. Tumawag ‘Oh Baron ikaw na &#x27;yung gagawa nung kay Piolo. He’s so busy daw hindi niya magagawa. Ikaw na muna bida dito ha!&#x27; Sabi ko, &#x27;Talaga po? Na-memorize ko na po eh, hindi i-memorize mo &#x27;yung kay Piolo,’” Baron recalled.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/10/21/management-of-baron-geisler-breaks-silence-on-baseless-allegations-1225"><strong>READ: Management of Baron Geisler breaks silence on ‘baseless’ allegations</strong></a></div><p>From then, Baron expressed his gratitude towards the Pamilya Sagrado actor for the opportunity that he gave him.</p><p>“Nagkita kami ni Mr. Piolo Pascual and you know I can&#x27;t thank you enough I&#x27;m so grateful bro to be part of this film and pinagbigyan mo ako na magka-break sa industriya. And after that nagsimula na akong kunin sa mga bigger projects. So thank you so much and to direk Brillante also,” he ended.</p><p>Baron has since then starred in several projects following his acting comeback in 2019.</p>
