High Street actor Juan Karlos Labajo, or JK, was a proud and supportive partner to his girlfriend Deanna Marie Maté, or Dia, as she won the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2024 title.

On his personal social media page, JK expressed how happy he is for the Cavite representative who took home the crown during Miss World Philippines coronation night last Friday, July 19.

“I have seen how you've gone through all the challenges and difficulties of the pageantry world with grace and elegance and I couldn't be any prouder. You have been my queen since day one and the only difference now is that you're wearing the crown that you so deserve. This is just the beginning,” as the Kapamilya star posted a photo of Dia and a video of themselves celebrating her triumph after the event.

JK then ended his message with loving appreciation for his “sweet baby”.

“To my sweet baby with the kindest heart and a smile that lights up my world, congratulations! I love you. ❤️,” he continued.

Dia then commented, “I love you!!! 🥹❤️”

Last February, JK hard launched his new girlfriend on Instagram as he uploaded a selfie that he took while kissing the cheeks of Dia.

Although he didn’t write anything in the caption except for a single heart, netizens already assumed that this was his new love, as he tagged the beauty queen in the photo.

“Happy Valentine’s Day love,” Dia commented on the post.

They also confirmed their relationship earlier in February as the two exchanged “I love yous” on their reposted posts for JK’s special day.

The singer also campaigned for Dia on her Miss Universe Philippines journey last April, on his Facebook page.

“heya it’s me please vote for the beautiful bebe Ms Cavite through the MUPH app thank you ❤️🐝,” he said.

He also reacted to have a déjà vu moment as he previously campaigned for his ex-partner, model Maureen Wroblewitz, who also joined in a beauty pageant.

“haha déjà vu,” he said in the comment section.

He added, “wag nga ano baaaaa… pag ito talaga ma news na naman wag kasi kayo maingayyyy.”

In an interview with PEP, JK answered if he will be accompanying his beauty queen girlfriend when she competes abroad.

"It depends. It depends," JK answered, which will depend on his schedule as per Dia.

"No, but I wanna go, definitely. I wanna go. But I'm really proud, I'm really proud. It's her spotlight," JK continued.

Meanwhile, Dia also penned on her personal Instagram page her message after her exciting journey in the Miss World Philippines competition.

“Coronation night recap 👑❤️ @msworldphil @rhispanaoficial The journey was beautiful and bright. Though it may have had its ups and downs, it was colorful. It filled my life with life-changing experiences and opportunities. Grateful to have shared this journey with those beside me. I cannot wait for what is next in store,” she wrote.

She went on: “From the Cavite sash to now, the Philippines sash. I hope I’ll make the Philippines proud. Next stop, Bolivia ❤️.”

Dia took over from Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2023 Michelle Arceo, who won as second runner-up in the international competition.
