Once rivals on the basketball court, Kapamilya star Donny Pangilinan and popular Filipino content creator CongTV joined forces to do a hilarious interview with Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.

On their respective YouTube accounts, Cong and Donny shared their interview with the Hollywood stars during their visit to South Korea for the movie, Deadpool and Wolverine.

“Siguro ito yung moment sa buhay ko na greatest and at the same time sobrang random na moment ng buhay ko. Like, anong ginagawa ko rito?” Cong said in his vlog, hours before their sitdown interview with Hugh and Ryan.

The Filipino vlogger was, during that time, on his honeymoon with wife, Viy Cortez-Velasquez, which also served as their son Kidlat’s birthday celebration.

“Sila dapat yung kabahan kasi hindi nila kami kilala at hindi nila alam kung anong itatanong namin,” Cong said, trying to hide his nervousness.

Cong and Donny had a short skit where they pretended to quarrel in front of Ryan and Hugh.

“Ako muna una magsasalita,” Cong said, as he asked his “hardest question”. 

“How are you?"

“Concerned,” Ryan said as Hugh was laughing at the unexpected question.

“We are just messing with you,” Donny said, making the whole studio laugh.

“No, we’re not,” Cong countered.

Trying to compose himself, Donny then proceeded to do a serious interview.

“We just want to say that you guys are big inspirations to us, more so the fact that Deadpool and Wolverine is a very unlikely pairing, just like me and Cong over here. We don’t have any idea why we were paired to be interviewing such amazing and fine, good-looking men,” the Can’t Buy Me Love actor expressed.

Cong proceeded to ask his unexpected questions of the Marvel stars, with a straight face as his persona.

“In the trailer, you fight a lot… why?” the Filipino vlogger, making Hugh laugh while answering.

“It’s a love language,” Hugh, who played Wolverine, said.

“It is a love language kind of like. It’s how we express ourselves,” Ryan, who played Deadpool, added.

Cong also poked fun at Ryan’s answer during the blog conference where he said he became a “heartless, terrible father” for not bringing his children to South Korea.

“I have a two-year-old son, and I heard from you (Ryan). You were a terrible father. Any advice so I don’t end up like you,” Cong quipped, shocking the actors with his question.

“Oh my gosh. Michelle, contain your client… I think you just want value and price, external accomplishment instead of bringing it at home...  Just tryna stay away as much as possible," Ryan jokingly advised.

Ryan also greeted Cong who had just recently got married.

“Oh, that’s nice. Cong, you’re doomed,” he joked.

They then proceeded to the second segment where Ryan and Hugh played “Who’s Most Likely To”.

In one part of the game, Donny asked the two stars whose superhero characters was most likely to beat Thanos, the antagonist in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

While the two were thinking of an answer, Cong offered his own opinion. “I know someone. Manny Pacquiao.” The two stars agreed.

Ryan even made fun of Cong who was trying not to smile during the interview.

“When you smile, does it even make a cracking sound?” he asked, making everyone laugh, even Cong, who hid it away.

“I saw that. There was joy in his eyes. You despicable son of a b*tch… Oh his dimples too. I see it,” Ryan and Hugh said.

They ended their interview by taking a “Gen Z” selfie together which they previously posted.

“This is a dream come true for me. I always wanted to meet these two amazing superheroes. It’s such a surreal experience, especially that I got to do it with a very special and talented guy, Cong,” Donny said in his vlog.

“Happy lang ako na nakasama ko si Cong especially dito sa interview na ito kasi mas naging masaya, mas naging spontaneous. I think okay naman iyong rapport naming dalawa," he added.
