Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, stars of the film Deadpool & Wolverine, recently received two Guinness World Records (GWR) titles. The actors were presented with the official certificates on ITV's This Morning, hosted by Alison Hammond.

The first record was awarded to Deadpool & Wolverine for having the most viewed movie trailer within 24 hours.

Released on February 11, the trailer amassed an impressive 365 million global views across all platforms in just one day. This achievement surpassed previous records and marked the trailer as the most viewed of all time.

In addition to this, Ryan received a separate recognition as the co-owner of Wrexham AFC football club.

The Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales, UK, was recognized as the oldest international football ground, having been in use for 147 years and 31 days as of April 5. This record was particularly meaningful to Ryan, who expressed his gratitude by saying the award “means so much to him and [his] Welsh ancestors.”

Photos of Ryan and Hugh receiving their GWR certificates were shared on social media, capturing the surprise and excitement of the actors. The international stars were visibly thrilled during their appearance on “This Morning.”

The official GWR Instagram account confirmed the news, stating: "Actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been awarded two Guinness World Records titles ahead of the release of their latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine. The Marvel superheroes were surprised with the official GWR certificates on ITV’s @thismorning in celebration of Deadpool & Wolverine setting a new record for most viewed movie trailer in 24 hours - 365 million global views across all platforms from 11-12 February."

The trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, which debuted at Super Bowl LVIII, provided a sneak peek into the film’s plot. In the preview, Deadpool is captured by the Time Variance Authority, setting him on a path that intersects with Wolverine in the vast Marvel multiverse. This new adventure marks the first time the Deadpool series will be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.

Ryan expressed his excitement over the trailer's success, stating, “What? One million for every day of the year—that's so awesome!” The film is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the MCU, combining the humor and action-packed style of Deadpool with the iconic presence of Wolverine.
