Kapamilya star and "Pambansang Host" Luis Manzano officially renewed his contract with ABS-CBN on Tuesday, July 2.

In an interview after his signing, Luis told PUSH how happy and excited he is being a "forever Kapamilya."

“Sobrang saya sa contract signing… This, anything kagaya ng contract signing or being given a new show, tiwala talaga iyan. It goes to show yung tiwala na binibigay sa akin ng ABS-CBN, which is why I also give my best,” he said.

He added, “It’s one of those feelings na sobrang excited ka, and you’re extremely thankful for something like this.”

Luis also told the press how his relationship with the Kapamilya network is stronger and deeper as they both stayed with each other during their highs and lows in their journey.

“Sabi ko nga eh na napatunayan namin, ako at ang ABS-CBN what kind of relationship we had… It goes beyond the ABS-CBN compound. It goes beyond the cameras,” Luis expressed.

“Noong dumating sa very challenging point ang ABS-CBN… nandito pa rin ako gumagawa pa rin ako ng paraan magpasaya ng bawat Kapamilya. Noong ako rin naman noong dumating sa ibang klaseng pinagdaanan ko, hinding-hindi bumitaw sa akin ang ABS-CBN , hindi nawala ang tiwala. Talagang forever ang pagiging isang kapamilya,” he recalled.

Luis is also set to host a new trivia game show, Rainbow Rumble.

“I’m really excited because, for the longest time, I’ve been hosting franchises. Kaya nga noong nag-’It’s Your Lucky Day’ tayo before, sobra akong excited because original sa atin,” Luis told PUSH.

He continued: “Ito ngayong ‘Rainbow Rumble’, isang pagsabak na original game shows na talagang sa atin talaga plus yung format. Maraming nakamiss ng ‘Game Ka Na Ba?, maraming naka-miss ng ‘Pot Luck’ ng ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ so yung ‘Rainbow Rumble’ mayroon tayong ganoong klaseng game show para sa kanila.”

Luis also shared that having an original format show also lets him and the production team showcase more of how Filipino productions work and they are looking forward to introducing Pinoy entertainment to international audiences.

“Nakakatuwa na you have more freedom, para sa akin. Siyempre like, for example, the past franchise na ginawa ko, for Minute To Win It, may tinatawag kayong bible na the games are there, the protocols, the parameters are all there,” he shared.

“Nakakaproud when you do a show na alam niyong gawa ng Pinas or gawa ng isang Pilipino. It’s very refreshing para sa akin… We have been waiting for a show na pwede natin imarket ang production,” he said.

“Naniniwala ako na itong Rainbow Rumble, itong pagkakagawa din ng ABS-CBN… It’s one of those shows na kapag sinimulan natin ito, bubuhos ang tawag para mag-inquire if they can franchise this show para sa mga bansa nila,” he added.

As per Luis, the show will test the knowledge and luck of contestants.

“Ito mas trivia tayo. Dahil nakita natin na sobrang ganda ng feedback ng ‘Pot Luck’ segment ng ‘It’s Your Lucky Day' na grabe iyong tawa ng mga tao, whether it be sa tamang sagot or mali ng sagot. Na-miss natin yung Game Ka Na Ba?’, ‘Battle of the Brains’, so ibabalik natin iyan,” he explained.

“For ‘Rainbow Rumble’, there’s a component ng talino ng book smart, may street smart and there’s a game of chance and luck also,” he added.
