<p>Following the massive milestone that he achieved on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart, singer Maki took to social media to mark this feat in his career.</p><p>Maki&#x27;s track &quot;Dilaw&quot; became the first song to land the number one spot on the first Billboard PH Hot 100 chart.</p><p>On his Instagram Stories, the singer wrote: &quot;Celebrating this along with all the OPM artists that are on top of the charts! I&#x27;m just so thrilled and glad that OPM is thriving, very much alive, and that I get to share my part as an artist in this generation of Filipino music. Maraming salamat sa pagtangkilik ng musikang Pilipino!&quot;</p><p>Maki released &quot;Dilaw&quot; last May under Tarsier Records of ABS-CBN Music. </p><p>In June, the track also achieved big milestones on Spotify.</p><div><iframe width="1519" height="569" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/L215z9C4Zd8" title="“Dilaw” - Maki (Official Music Video)" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>The song landed in the number one spot on Spotify Philippines Top 50 songs chart. The track also entered the Top Songs Global at No. 200.</p><p>In a recent interview with ABS-CBN Entertainment, Maki shared that &quot;Dilaw&quot; was inspired by the message of embracing self-love.</p><p>&quot;I actually wrote this song for myself, para sa batang ako na laging naghahanap ng love sa ibang tao. Yung sobrang bigay siya nang bigay ng pagmamahal tapos hindi niya nakukuha pabalik. Now, I realize na after so many heartbroken moments in my life, di ko na mahal yung sarili ko. Kasi talagang she really embodies the color yellow,&quot; he relayed in an interview with ABS-CBN News.</p><p>The singer shared that there were scenes in the music video that were filmed spontaneously.</p><p>&quot;When we were shooting &#x27;yung field scenes mainit siya oo pero nagulat kami nung umulan na lang bigla ng mga dahon,&quot; he recounted.</p><p>The singer went on: &quot;Bigla kaming tumayo ni Maloi, sabi ko tara takbo tayo. Sabi niya sige [tapos] bigla nalang sumunod &#x27;yung cameraman. Tapos &#x27;yun magic.&quot;</p>
