Richard Juan meets 'twin' Kim Soo-hyun: ‘After TEN years’

Richard Juan met South Korean superstar Kim Soo-hyun during the latter’s fan meeting in the country last June 29. It’s been a decade since the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate was dubbed by several netizens to be a lookalike of the South Korean actor. 

The former PBB housemate took to his Instagram account to express his excitement about meeting the Queen of Tears actor.

“After TEN years…FINALLY, i got to meet @soohyun_k216 🫣 we had a brief interaction and sadly it wasn’t caught on tape hahaha,” he wrote.

In the Instagram Reel, Richard showed several screenshots of fans comparing him with the South Korean superstar. He recalled how Kim Soo-hyun’s role in My Love From the Star became an influence on his showbiz career.

“For those who have been with me from the start of my journey, you know how much Do Minjoon (aka Matteo Do) from ‘My Love From The Star’ have influenced my life (you can still find it online haha),” he added.

For Richard, meeting Kim Soo-hyun was a “full circle moment” for his showbiz career which began a decade ago.

“Back when I was in college, I had no idea what show business was about and where it would take me, but yet 10 years later, I'm still here. Meeting him last week feels like a full circle moment,” he continued.

“Kim Soo Hyun changed the entire trajectory of my life, and for that, I am forever thankful and grateful,” he ended.

Fans of Richard went to the comment section to congratulate him for being a successful fan boy. Other netizens expressed how the two could still pass off as siblings even until today.

“Ikaw na talaga ang nanalo sa best in manifestation award,” a fan shared.

“Your doppelganger for reallll cuteee,” another fan added.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun successfully held his fan meeting in the country where thousands of his fans came in attendance. Several Filipino celebrities such as Andrea Brillantes, Candy Pangilinan, and Janice de Belen, among others were part of the crowd present at the Araneta Coliseum.
