Disney’s D23 2024 kicked off with a packed three-hour presentation at the Disney Entertainment Showcase, unveiling an array of upcoming films, TV series, and live-action adaptations.Among the most anticipated announcements were updates on Moana 2, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Incredibles 3, alongside several other projects that promise to dominate screens in the coming years.<div>The event began with an extended look at Moana 2, introduced by Disney CEO Bob Iger. The trailer revealed Moana facing a new stormy threat that jeopardizes her life with her family. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho, who reprised their roles as Maui and Moana, took the stage to discuss the film, which is set to release on November 27, 2024.</div><div>Dwayne Johnson also announced his involvement in a new project titled Disney Monster Jam, although details remain sparse. Dwayne Johnson expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting his passion for motorsports and monster trucks, promising an immersive live-action experience.</div><div>James Cameron made a surprise appearance to reveal the official title of Avatar 3 as Avatar: Fire and Ash, set for release on December 19, 2025. Although no footage was shown, stars Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington shared first-look concept art, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.</div><div>Pixar continued its strong presence with multiple announcements.</div><div>The studio is working on Incredibles 3 with Brad Bird, who directed the first two Incredibles, returning to the franchise. The official release date remains unannounced.</div><div>Pixar also teased new projects for streaming platform Disney+. These include an Inside Out spin-off series called Dream Productions and Pixar’s first original series called Win or Lose, debuting on December 6, 2024.</div><div>Pixar also introduced Hoppers, a new animated film starring Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan, which is set to premiere in spring 2026.</div><div>Disney&#x27;s live-action remakes continue to expand with Lilo &amp; Stitch, Snow White, and Mufasa: The Lion King.</div><div>The first look at live-action Stitch was revealed, staying true to the character&#x27;s original design with added fur detail. Meanwhile, Rachel Zegler stars as Snow White in the live-action adaptation, with the film releasing on March 21, 2025. Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to the original story, highlighted the early relationship between Mufasa and Scar. The film, featuring music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, will hit theaters on December 20, 2024.</div><div>The Star Wars universe also took the spotlight with a teaser for Skeleton Crew, starring Jude Law, set to premiere on December 3, 2024. Additionally, footage from Andor Season 2 was shown, revealing behind-the-scenes glimpses of familiar characters like K-2SO and Director Krennic.</div><div>Marvel fans were treated to new footage from Daredevil: Born Again, starring Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Jon Bernthal, which will premiere in March 2025. The series will see Daredevil once again facing off against Kingpin and The Punisher.</div><div>Other highlights included updates on Frozen 3, Toy Story 5, and the upcoming Tron: Ares, which will feature a soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails.
