Alyssa Muhlach expresses support to Niño Muhlach and cousin Sandro: “Our family will never tolerate all forms of abuse.”

<p>Kapamilya actress Alyssa Muhlach showed her support to her cousin Sandro Muhlach and uncle Niño Muhlach as their family sought justice for alleged sexual abuse from the two individual contractors of the GMA network.</p><p>In the recent <a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com"><strong>PUSH</strong></a> Bets episode with Alyssa, the actress and singer recalled how she found out about her cousin&#x27;s fight for justice.</p><p>“When I first heard about it, I was really surprised. Actually, I messaged my Mom first,” she said, referring to Almira Muhlach.</p><div><iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dShMo-uRUxs" title="Alyssa Muhlach, proud sa kanyang showbiz clan | PUSH Bets" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>“I heard stories things like that happening in the industry. Hindi ko lang akalain na it would be done to someone from my family,” she expressed.“When we found out about it, I was very disappointed and at the same time also scared.”</p><p>Alyssa also shared the sentiments of her uncle, Niño, on how his former colleagues allegedly treated his son.</p><p>“For you to do it to someone na also, like ‘yung family… These are people that my uncle trusts,” she added.</p><p>Alyssa shared how the incident actually defied how they view the industry that their relatives first introduced to them.</p><p>“This industry kasi, we felt like it’s a safe space. You will see us talk and interact with people from the production, to our bosses,” she remarked.</p><p>The respect they had for those they worked with made it even more difficult to come to terms with the realization that it may be abused and put one of their own in harm’s way.</p><p>She went on: “Yung level of trust that you gave to someone like that na you worked with, diba? We have always stood our ground in terms of that na hindi kami magtotolerate ng abuse, assault or anything,” she expressed.</p><p>Earlier in August, Sandro filed a formal complaint against two independent contractors from GMA Network who were identified as Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.</p><p>This is after several reports that circulated on social media about the alleged sexual harassment of a young actor during the GMA Gala 2024, which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City last July 20.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/8/2/sandro-muhlach-files-complaint-against-gma-independent-contractors-1018"><strong>READ: Sandro Muhlach files complaint against GMA independent contractors<br/></strong></a></div><p>Niño shared his sentiments on behalf of their family’s situation in a report on TV  Patrol.</p><p>“Our family has suffered so much because of the unspeakable and vile acts done to our son. Para makita mo yung anak mo na nanginginig at di niya halos mahawakan yung telepono niya… Yung kwinento niya sakin yung ginawa sa kanya lalo na si Jojo Nones po katrabaho namin ni Sen [Bong Revilla],” he shared.</p><p>“Sobrang galang ko sa kanya, sobrang respeto ko sa kanya. Pag may events kami ako pa yung unang lumalapit sa kanya. Sir Jojo pa nga tawag ko sa kanya eh. Di ko talaga matanggap na nagawa niya sa anak ko ito… Sobrang sama po talaga ng loob ko kay Jojo Nones.
