In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez in the TFC show BRGY, Ruby shared that when she auditioned for the role, she was unaware that it was for a big production.

When she received a call from series director Lulu Wang that she got the role, she soon realized that it was for a big project and that she will star in the show with Nicole. "And then na-excite na rin ako... Nicole Kidman sabi niya ganun."

"When I read the script, ano pala siya from episode 1 to episode 6. Essie was part of the show, of all the episodes. And 'yung highlight na binigay sa OFWs really moved me. Sobrang nagpasalamat ako kay Lulu," she remarked.

"Ang ginawa ko nun every free time, hindi pa naman ako agad agad nag-shoot, may mga kinaibigan ako, hanggang ngayon mga kaibigan talaga and we became very close kasi dun ko nalaman 'yung mga istorya nila kasi si Essie gusto ko siya mabigyan ng buhay na hindi parang inaral na role but a real nanny. Malaki ang tulong nila sa akin and hindi ko 'yun magagawa without them," she said.

While you are doing it, 'pag ikaw umaarte dun, while you are part of it, hindi mo nakikitang ganun di ba? So when I was doing it already, wala naman akong ibang pwedeng ipakita sa kanila but just our authenticity. FIlipinos are known for their authenticity."
