Kapamilya singer Morissette Amon expressed gratitude after her memorable performance with American singer David Archuleta during his Manila concert last Saturday, September 14. 

On her social media page, Morisette shared a candid photo of them as they gave an incredible duet performance.

“the fun that was captured in this photo!!!! David had some slight tech difficulties during our song, but no mic no problem!” Morisette revealed. 

During his stage with the Kapamilya singer, David experienced technical difficulties with his microphone while singing Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s hit single “Die With A Smile”.

However, the two singers quickly adjusted to the situation by sharing Morisette’s microphone, proving how truly professional they were.

“we jam like in true videoke fashion, with one who's truly a Filipino by heart by the many times he's come here,” Morisette commented.

She then expressed gratitude to David for inviting her to be part of his much-awaited comeback concert in the Philippines.

“thank you @davidarchie for the opportunity of singing with you last night, had a blast surprising your fans and I also felt the love 🫶🏼,” she said.

David replied in the comment section, “Thank you for coming and being a part of the show Morissette!! It was so 😍😍 So great to sing with you finally!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼.”

Fans who have watched the uploaded video of the performance on social media couldn’t help but express their admiration for David and Morissette.

“Oh my gosh 💯🥹 Their professionalism 💜 You can how David is amazed by the kind gestures of Mori,” a fan posted on X.

Another one said, “I think they should start a band together- their voices are SO complimentary.”

“kakilig naman💟 they handled it very professional. Based on their rehearsal footage halos walang pinagbago dito kahit isa nalang mic grabe ba,” a netizen expressed.

The video has more than 2.2 million views in X as of writing.

Held at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, Playback Presents the best of David Archuleta celebrates David’s Manila comeback after six years. He last visited the country in 2018 for a fundraising event. 

“Playback Presents the best of David Archuleta” concert in Manila 🫶🏼🫶🏼 so great to be back after 6 years Philippines I missed you!!! 🥹 thank you for an incredible night,” he said in a post.

“Full circle, David! Thank you for having me last night and for always coming back to the Philippines 💕,” Morisette remarked.

David then praised the singer saying, “@itsmorissette thank you so much for coming and being a part of it Morissette!!! Ur voice 😩 Love you!! 🫶🏼”

The Filipina singer was a surprise guest on David’s Manila show.

“The audience were gagged when she was announced by David Archuleta. Not to mention that David was also a fan of Morissette for years. So it’s a full circle moment for the both of them,” a fan said.

Meanwhile, David performed his hits including “Something ‘Bout Love,” “Touch My Hand,” “I’m Yours”, “Invincible”, “A Little Too Not Over You” and his recently released song “Hell Together” to his Filipino Archies.

He also featured his cover of the OPM song “Nandito Ako” and “Forevermore” which were part of his OPM album in 2012.

In a previous interview in Unang Hirit, David shared how happy he was being back again in a country he warmly refers to as his “second home”.
