Adele revealed that she will be taking a long break after her residency ends this year in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The singer made the revelation during her concert in Munich, Germany on Saturday, August 31.

"I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dearly in my heart for the whole length of my break," she said, based on a video uploaded by a fan on social media platform X.

"I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I've done for the last three years and I will hold them in the bottom of my heart forever. It has been amazing,” she added. “I just need a rest.”

Turning emotional, Adele further highlighted that she wanted to live the life she has been working on for the last years.

"I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it. I want to live the new life that I have been building," she remarked. "I will remember these shows for eternity they have been spectacular. People have come out rain or shine."

Adele is set to resume her Las Vegas residency this October for her remaining ten shows. She will have her residency's final show on November 23.

It can be recalled that Adele also previously took a long break between the release of her 2015 album 25 and her latest album 30 which was released in 2021.

Following the release of 30, Adele went on her Las Vegas residency in January 2022.

Adele first hinted about her big break in an interview with German television broadcaster ZDF last July.

"My tank is quite empty at the minute. I don’t have any plans for new music at all," she said in the interview. "I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while."
