Cardiologist and health advocate Willie Ong shared an update about his condition after being diagnosed with cancer.

"It's 50-50. 50% to live a few more months, a year. 50% na anytime baka hindi na huminga," he disclosed in an interview with Jessica Soho released on Sunday, September 22. "Parang walang kasiguraduhan eh. Every day is a blessing. I just live every day. I don't think of next month, next year."

Willie stressed that he's been feeling "the worst pain." He explained: "It's 10 out 10. Buong gabi, hindi kami natutulog ni Doc Liza (his wife). Sigaw ako nang sigaw, hihiyaw ka sa sakit talaga."

He then shared his reflection on his life saying, "I think the purpose of this life is just to finish your mission. Nagkakaroon na ako ng visions before that time, I saw my mom who died two years ago, 'Yung mommy ko sa dream ko, kinukuha na niya ako. She called me, 'Willie Boy, come to me!' Parang sabi ng nanay ko, you've done your job on earth."

Willie is now undergoing chemotherapy in Singapore.

It was on September 14 when Willie revealed that he has a sarcoma in his abdomen.

As per mayoclinic.org, sarcoma is "the general term for a broad group of cancers that begin in the bones and in the soft (also called connective) tissues (soft tissue sarcoma). Soft tissue sarcoma forms in the tissues that connect, support and surround other body structures."

It was around August 18 or 19 this year before he got admitted to the hospital when he experienced severe back pain that he described as the worst pain he experienced.

Willie revealed that his sarcoma is very rare and aggressive.

"Nalungkot ako? Nung una. Pero hindi eh, masaya na ako na basta may purpose pa ang Diyos," he said.

"Pray na gagaling pero sabi ng doktor ko itong sarcoma ay mahirap na kalaban. Isa sa pinakamahirap na cancer na kulang ang research, kulang ang bagong gamot, medyo miracle dapat," he revealed.
