Australian cover band Hindley Street Club shared why the Philippines was really a place they wanted to perform live in. During the press conference earlier this week for their show happening September 29 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, the cover band expressed their excitement for their one-night only concert in the country.

HSCC’s concert is made possible by Main Events, the sub-unit of local promoter Ovation Productions.

Constantine Delo, the band’s founder, revealed that the Philippines is one of the biggest viewers of their covers on YouTube. This was their motivation to meet their Filipino fans as they were grateful for the hundreds of millions of views they generate from the country.

“When you look at the numbers from around the world which is actually more than a billion views on YouTube–– Philippines is neck in neck with America [in terms of viewership] which is huge. Big, big, big numbers–– hundreds of millions just in the Philippines,” he shared.

Apart from their highly-anticipated show, HSCC added that they have planned to collaborate with several OPM singers and will reveal them in the coming days. During their stay in the country, part of the cover band’s agenda will be meeting with several singers and record covers to be uploaded soon.

Meanwhile, they continued to express their love for the Philippines as they shared how they were extending their stay for a couple of days after their concert. They would normally fly out immediately after performing in other countries, but that isn’t the case for the Philippines.

“We want to be coming back here every year,” Constantine added.

Meanwhile, fans of the Australian-based squad can watch them live for as low as ₱2,500.
